Expert WNBA moneyline picks for August 11

Liberty vs Fever: Team (60% probability)

The Indiana Fever are pushing the pace and executing extremely well in transition. Over their last five games, the Fever are averaging 16.8 points per game off opponent turnovers while posting an impressive 60.8% True Shooting percentage. That combination puts constant pressure on a defense.

That becomes an even bigger problem for the New York Liberty, which are missing two of their top perimeter defenders, Leonie Fiebich and Satou Sabally.

The key for Indiana is simple: protect the basketball and keep New York from getting extra possessions and second-chance opportunities. If the Fever do that, their pace and offensive firepower will be enough to carry them at home.

Mercury vs Sparks: Sparks (53% probability)

The Los Angeles Sparks have been excellent at turning defensive stops into quick offense, producing 20.2 points per game off turnovers over their last five matchups.

That ability to punish empty possessions could be a major factor tonight, as the Mercury have recently allowed 14 ppg from turnovers.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Mercury come in shorthanded without the newly acquired Kelsey Plum, and the Mercury are struggling. They're giving up 92.2 ppg, with opponents shooting over 48% from the field.

Expect the Sparks to stand tall on home court.

Mystics vs Aces: Aces (73% probability)

The Las Vegas Aces got blown out by 40 points in New York on Sunday, but context matters. Becky Hammon rested A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young, and Chelsea Gray after a brutal stretch of travel.

With Wilson, Young, and Gray returning to the lineup against the Washington Mystics, Las Vegas gets its preferred closing lineup and a major advantage in execution late in the game.

Las Vegas is 9-5 at home, and I expect the Aces to get back on track tonight.
