1996 (College Basketball): In the Big East Championship at Madison Square Garden - All-American guard Ray Allen hits an off-balance jumper with 13.4 seconds left to cap a 12-0 run by Connecticut and defeat Georgetown 75-74. The Huskies failed to cover as a 6½-point favorite as Allen finished with 17 points on 5-for-20 shooting from the field. Georgetown's star freshman Allen Iverson also struggled, scoring only 13 points on 4-for-15 shooting.


2013 (Boxing): 48-year old Bernard Hopkins breaks his own record becoming the oldest man to win a major world boxing title after defeating Tavoris Cloud in a 12-unanimous decision to win the IBF light heavyweight title. Hopkins was a +150 underdog for the fight as he improved to 53-6-2 in his career. He would break his won record again a year later at the age of 49 when he beat Beibut Shummenov to win the WBA and IBA light heavyweight titles.


2014 (Golf): 23-year old Patrick Reed becomes the youngest player to win a WGC event after winning the WGC-Cadillac Championship by one stroke over Jamie Donaldson and Bubba Watson. Reed entered the tournament at +8000 to win the title. It was Reed's 3rd PGA Tour victory - all within a 7-month span.
