Jake DeBrusk scored his second goal of the game 33 seconds into overtime to lift the visiting Boston Bruins to a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.

David Pastrnak also scored, Charlie McAvoy had two assists, and Linus Ullmark made 25 saves for the Bruins in the opener of a six-game road trip. Boston earned its third consecutive victory.

Mark Giordano and Jordan Eberle scored and Philipp Grubauer made 36 saves for the Kraken, who have lost six in a row (0-5-1).

Giordano was whistled for tripping Charlie Coyle 20 seconds into the game, and Seattle's Adam Larsson was given a four-minute high sticking penalty on Taylor Hall at 1:42.

However, the Bruins could not capitalize on the five-on-three advantage that lasted 38 seconds, and then they surrendered a short-handed goal on the leftover power play.

Riley Sheahan waited with the puck in the Boston zone before feeding Giordano all alone coming down the middle after he exited the penalty box. The Seattle captain scored at 3:29, his second short-handed tally in the past three games.

The Kraken then killed the rest of the penalty.

DeBrusk moved up to the top line to join Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron, and he scored for the third straight game at 17:33 of the first period to tie the game. Erik Haula flipped the puck over the back of the Seattle net, and the puck settled near the goal line, where DeBrusk pushed it across.

Pastrnak gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead when he scored on a one-timer from the left circle at 6:47 of the second period, his 28th goal of the season.

Eberle tied it 2-2 at 13:19 of the second period when he kept the puck on a three-on-one and scored with a backhand.

Marchand, who leads the Bruins with 28 assists and is second with 21 goals, returned from a six-game suspension he received for punching and high-sticking Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry on Feb. 8.

He had a team-high seven shots on goal but no points in 21:44 of ice time.
