Hi! Big Haynes King fan here. He led Georgia Tech to upsets over Florida State and Miami last season, and was oh, so close to beating rival Georgia, falling in a ridiculous 8th OT. King is a true dual-threat QB, passing for 2,114 yards and rushing for 587 more in 11 games. Colorado must replace eight starters from last year's defense. King and the Yellow Jackets will rumble all over the Buffs in this one. King went Over this number in six of the 10 regular-season games he played last season.

Despite being banged up for much of last season, Haynes still came 56 yards shy of another 1,000 yards of production. If all goes according to plan in 2025, he should clear that bar, and it all starts against a Colorado defense that surrendered nearly 2,000 rushing yards in 2024.

Rutherford averaged 54 receiving yards per game in 2024, so we’re getting a discount. Colorado played well defensively last year, but the secondary lost Travis Hunter, and the best pass rusher is also gone. If I were the opposing OC, I’d throw on this team until they prove they can stop it — the secondary loses a fair amount of talent, and the pass rush is unproven.

Georgia Tech returns a dynamic backfield that should control this game thanks to a stout offensive line reputation. Combine that with continued questions about Colorado's offensive line, and the short road favorite should emphasize physicality despite the altitude.
