Luis Arraez hit a two-run single and a double as the Miami Marlins beat the visiting San Francisco Giants 6-3 on Tuesday.

Miami's Ryan Weathers (2-1) allowed two runs on five hits with one walk and a career-high 10 strikeouts over six innings. He exited the game before throwing a pitch in the seventh inning due to cramping in his pitching hand.

Tanner Scott stranded two baserunners in the ninth inning for his second save. Miami won for just the fourth time in its first 18 games this season despite going 4-for-14 with runners in scoring position.

Matt Chapman hit a solo homer among his two hits for San Francisco, which struck out 13 times and lost for the third time in its past five games.

Miami broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the sixth inning. Josh Bell doubled against Ryan Walker (1-2) to begin the inning, moved to third on Jesus Sanchez's single and scored on Tim Anderson's fielder's-choice grounder.

Taylor Rogers replaced Walker with the bases loaded and was greeted by Arraez's two-out, two-run single.

The Giants cut the deficit to 5-3 in the seventh inning when LaMonte Wade Jr.'s single against Burch Smith scored Michael Conforto from third base.

Miami responded with a run in the bottom of the seventh on Nick Gordon's run-scoring single against Nick Avila.

San Francisco starter Jordan Hicks yielded two runs on three hits over five innings. He walked three and struck out five.

Chapman gave the Giants an early lead in the second inning with a two-out homer to left-center field. The 428-foot blast was Chapman's fourth long ball of the season.

San Francisco added another run in the third inning when Austin Slater delivered a two-out single and scored on Wilmer Flores' double to center.

Miami pulled even with two runs against Hicks in the fourth inning. Bryan De La Cruz's one-out double scored Arraez, who doubled to begin the inning. After Bell walked, De La Cruz stole third and scored on Sanchez's fielder's-choice grounder.
