Recap: Falcons 41, Cardinals 7

Matt Ryan threw three touchdown passes and Jason Snelling scored three times as the Atlanta Falcons pounded the Arizona Cardinals, 41-7, on Sunday at the Georgia Dome.

Snelling carried the load in relief of Michael Turner, who gained 75 yards on nine carries but left the game with a groin injury.

Snelling rushed for 129 yards on 24 carries, scoring on runs of 1 and 7 yards. He also reeled in five catches for 57 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown.

Ryan threw for 225 yards on 21 of 32 passing, connecting with Roddy White, Brian Finneran and Snelling on scoring strikes. With the win, Ryan improved to 14-1 at home as a starter.

White caught seven passes for 78 yards for the Falcons (1-1), while Larry Fitzgerald had seven catches for 83 yards for the Cardinals.

With Beanie Wells being inactive for a second consecutive game, Tim Hightower rushed for 115 yards on 11 carries for Arizona (1-1).

Cardinals quarterback Derek Anderson completed 17 of 31 passes for 161 yards with two interceptions.
