Maryland 37, West Virginia 0: C.J. Brown accounted for two touchdowns and Brad Craddock nailed three field goals as the Terrapins cruised past the Mountaineers on neutral territory at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium.

Maryland (4-0) compiled a season-low 330 yards of total offense in the sloppy, rain-soaked affair, but scored touchdowns following three West Virginia first-half turnovers. Brown completed 16-of-25 passes for 217 yards, hitting wide receiver Deon Long six times for 98 yards, while Brandon Ross rushed 20 times for 67 yards and a 3-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

West Virginia (2-2) committed six total turnovers and mustered only 175 yards of total offense as the Mountaineers were shut out for the first time since a loss to Virginia Tech in 2001. Redshirt freshman Ford Childress completed 11-of-22 passes for 62 yards with two interceptions and Dreamius Smith led the Mountaineers with 74 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Maryland defensive back A.J. Hendy recovered a Mountaineers fumble on a punt return to set up Brown's 6-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dave Stinebaugh in the first quarter. Hendy struck again on West Virginia's next drive as he intercepted a Childress pass and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown to give the Terrapins a quick 14-0 lead.

Craddock kicked three consecutive field goals, including a season-long 50-yarder, in the second quarter. Linebacker Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil intercepted Childress at the West Virginia 6-yard line, setting up a Brown 1-yard run on the quarterback sneak to put Maryland up 30-0 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brown has been responsible for at least one passing TD and one rushing TD in each of the first four games this season. ...
