No. 15 Boise State 27, Nevada 21: Joe Southwick passed for two touchdowns and D.J. Harper rushed for 130 yards as the Broncos downed the Wolf Pack in Mountain West play.

Matt Miller caught a 52-yard scoring pass as part of a 127-yard receiving day as Boise State (10-2, 7-1) earned a share of the conference title along with San Diego State and Fresno State.

Stefphon Jefferson rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns for Nevada (7-5, 4-4). Jefferson has 22 rushing touchdowns to break the school single-season mark of 20 set two years ago by current San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Miller’s touchdown reception gave the Broncos a 24-7 third-quarter lead. Nevada battled back and pulled within 27-21 on Cody Fajardo’s 6-yard keeper with 2:27 remaining. Harper recovered the ensuing onside kick and the Wolf Pack didn’t have time to mount much of a final drive upon getting the ball back with 17 seconds left.

Southwick threw a 17-yard pass to Chris Potter and Harper scored from 2 yards out en route to a 17-0 halftime lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Neither team was called for a penalty in the first half. Boise State was flagged for all three of the game’s penalties. … Jefferson’s 1,703 rushing yards are 30 behind Nevada’s single-season mark set by Chance Kretschmer in 2001. … Boise State pitched its seventh first-half shutout of the campaign.
