U.S. fantasy sports and media company Underdog announced it's renewing a deal with the hosts of its sports show, It Is What It Is. The show features platinum-selling artists Ma$e and Cam’ron and co-host Treasure Wilson.

The original deal Underdog Fantasy and the show brokered in 2023 was reportedly for 18 months. Underdog's renewed partnership features fantasy sports picks from Ma$e and Cam’ron Underdog customers can back.

“The show has quickly become iconic. At Underdog, we focus on connecting with fans in a genuine way and giving them honest, unique discussions about sports. We're excited to partner with Ma$e and Cam'ron to do just that, as It Is What It Is continues to shine,” said Liz Marro, Chief Marketing Officer at Underdog.

It Is What It Is is not the only show Underdog Fantasy produces. Other entertainment products include Heed the Call with Dan Hanzus and Marc Sessler. The Underdog network also features 89 with All-Pro NFL wide receiver Steve Smith, Clean Pocket with Jay Gruden, Colt McCoy, AQ Shipley, and Justin Pugh, Section 10 and Baseball is Dead with Jared Carrabis and Dallas Braden, and Fantasy Football with Josh Norris and Hayden Winks.

Another popular Underdog Network product is the Gil’s Arena podcast. The company announced a multi-year contract extension with this podcast's crew earlier in 2025.

"Underdog built us a platform and more importantly created a real partnership to share our unfiltered takes with fans. We're building a one-of-a-kind basketball network here, and this is just the beginning – we have big plans for the future," commented Gil's Arena host, Gilbert Arenas.

Underdog continues to diversify business

As its media network shows, Underdog Fantasy has expanded to cover more than just daily fantasy sports. However, it's also taken a keen interest in promoting responsible gambling in the U.S., creating the GuardDog responsible gambling support fund to invest in responsible gaming projects. GuardDog put its most recent investment into The Game Safety Institute.

“Our clear aim with GuardDog is to support and help scale innovation in responsible gaming, and the Game Safety Institute is precisely the type of partner we look for – imaginative, with a commitment to rigorous testing and research to develop real, actionable solutions to enhance player safety across a wide range of products,” said Adam Warrington, Vice President of Responsible Gaming at Underdog.

Since joining Covers, he's turned his sharp eye (and sharper keyboard) toward everything happening in the fast-moving world of online gambling. Whether it's new state launches, the latest twists in regulation, or what the big operators and game providers are cooking up next, Ziv breaks it all down with clarity, context, and just the right amount of snark. He covers the business side of betting, from affiliate trends and revenue reports to the tech powering your favorite slots. His motto in writing is “let’s make it make sense without putting you to sleep.”

When he’s not tracking gambling legislation or looking for the next breaking story, Ziv is living and dying with every pitch and play from his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. As a Pitt graduate, it’s a city loyalty forged in heartbreak, but one he wouldn’t trade for anything, except maybe a few more playoff wins.

When away from the keyboard, Ziv loves to hit the road and soak up the energy of casinos. Whether strolling the neon jungle called the Vegas Strip, or wandering into a smoky riverboat casino in the Midwest, Ziv’s in his element. He’s the guy chatting with players, blackjack dealers, and asking pit bosses way too many questions, all in the name of “research,” of course. The casino floor isn’t just his workplace, it’s a weird and wonderful ecosystem of flashing lights, wild characters, and pure sensory overload, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
