The New York Gaming Commission reported on Thursday that the eight online sportsbooks generated a $494.6-million handle during the week ending March 1, the highest amount wagered since the Super Bowl week. However, the same period in 2025 produced nearly $550 million in bets.
New York online sports betting operators in the most lucrative U.S. state claimed a win of $44.4 million during the week, a nearly 70% year-over-year increase and about $2.2 million more than the previous week.
The 9% hold marked the fifth time in six weeks that the win rate failed to reach double digits.

Tussle at top
FanDuel regained its top weekly handle spot as it generated about $3 million more from the previous week to reach $167.4 million, slightly ahead of DraftKings’ $166 million in amount wagered.
FanDuel produced an 11.4% hold, also the best in New York for the week, which led to gross revenue of $19 million, the most profitable week since the Super Bowl for the online operator.
DraftKings’ 8.8% win rate was much closer to the state’s weekly average, and the sportsbook won $14.6 million, about 4% less than the previous period.
Big week for Fanatics
Fanatics closed out February with its highest handle since September, reaching $59.8 million. The online operator won back 7.5% to finish with $4.5 million in gross revenue. BetMGM posted a less-than-desirable 4.2% hold on a $44.5-million handle, while Caesars just got above a 7% win rate on $30.9 million in wagers.
theScore Bet went over $1 million in weekly gross revenue for the first time since mid-January thanks to a rare double-digit hold. BetRivers won back 7.5% on a $12.8-million handle, while Bally Bet just cleared $209,000 on $3.1 million in wagers.
