Damn, 1-1 split on that game. PSG looked so good early on and then never got another, play must have been mushed...

That is not 100% correct. Lockdowns absolutely work in getting new infections down and pacing the strain on hospitals, and the Holland government and their science advisory board have always maintained the same position on this.
Holland is easing restrictions, between noon and 6 pm they can have up to 50 people on outdoor patios, you need to make reservations. They still have an evening curfew and they are looking to open up even more on the 26th of May. A lot of bars and restaurants are choosing to stay closed till then.

Define "working".
Actually, it doesn't matter, even this inefficient, pu$sy lockdown that came 3 weeks too late is still working, albeit slowly. New infections per day went from 4000+ to 3400 today, of course it takes time for hospitalizations and ICU beds to go down, with 877 covid patients in ICU's ( double what it was 2 weeks ago) this is not a good time to have a heart attack or a car accident in Ontario right now.
If they would have done a real hard ass lockdown Australia or New Zealand style for even 2 weeks at the end of March when the signs were already there, we would be in so much better shape.
Regardless, better weather on the way, more vaccines every day, we'll get out of this shit eventually, like everyone else.

@benhogan76
Yeah that's tasteless. I don't think the press "fear mongers" on purpose, they might want to sell a few more copies.
I'm not saying lockdowns are fun, I fucking hate it, some people get government assistance through this, not me, haven't gotten a dime, can't do all the things I want, feel depressed. But I see what's happening in the hospitals and there is just no alternative.
Which jurisdiction, which government, progressive or conservative, democracy or dictatorship has done well with this in the past year? Every country has had their struggles.
I just want this shit to be over.

I do not think that it is coincidence that India & Canada are having their worse covid time when 50 flights a week come and go from that country here
