Europa: for me at least, this is the toughest major tourney, the motivational angles heading into the 2nd leg are just too hard to gauge. on paper, these 3 SHOULD hit, and Im not even gonna bother digging any further.
Ajax -1 @-141
Zenit/Anderlect over 2.5 @-141
Shakhtar/Celta over 2.5 @-115
The Other Champions League: Concacaf
Dallas -1.5 @+112
Dallas/Unido over 3 @+114 - MLS vs Panama. Yes, defending regular season champs are in the midst of winter break from league while Panama season is already well under way. Thats the only slight advantage I can see the visitors having. Unido are currently in 7th place after 7 matches and have played 3 times on road scoring just ONCE. The Panamanian league is a few levels lower than what the MLS offers. Dallas has been practicing in Argentinia over the past few weeks and scheduled Friendlies vs 4 teams currently in the top 10 there and played quite well winning once and drawing 3 times. Now at home in front of their loyal fans for the first time they're up against a weak side whom are poor travellers.
This scenario has been played out countless of times with MLS teams on break and none of them have lost at home, the skill gap makes up for lack of competitive matches. And Dallas signed a bunch of pretty decent players whom will make an immediate impact.
Concacaf U20: suprised to not have to pay juice on this.
Mexico -1.5 @+112 - both teams already advanced to next stage as each have 6 pts.Technically, this is a meaningless match, but in reality it's pretty big. These two were paired in same Group back in 2015 and Mexico beat them 3-0; they are the 3-time defending champs and havent lost an U20 match to a Concacaf side in almost 8 years (about 22 matches I think, there were a few draws). EVERY single win... was by 2+ goals. if they didnt win?... it ended up in a draw.
Honduras are a decent side, but still a few notches below their opponent. this looks like another solid 2-0, 3-0 victory.
Bolivia: "revenge" is the theme for this play. Bolivar year in and year out fight for the title.
Bolivar to win @+125
Sport Boys/Bolivar over 3.5 @+129 - heading into the final match of the Apetura season back on Dec 21st, Bolivar had a 3 pt advantage over their rivals Strongest. Strongest blew out their opponent 7-2 earlier in day. Holding on to a 2-2 draw which would have seen them finish as champs, 11 minutes were tacked onto injury time. FIVE red cards dished out after the 90th minute, and Sport Boys scored with just 8 players on field in the 97th minute to win 3-2. bye bye first place. So here we have a fresh start, Sport Boys have been struggling after winter break winning just once in 4 matches and just got blown out at home 3-1 to Nacional - one of the weakest travelling teams. Bolivar has been on fire after the break, 3 matches and 3 wins; scoring 11 and conceding just once. and according to reports, still pretty pissed off. H2H 8 out of the last 10 have seen 4+ goals. and though Sport Boys have won 5 of the last 7 played between the two, the situation & current form presented sets up nicely.
Copa Lib: 1st leg resulted in a 1-1 draw.
Strongest/Espanola over 3 @+102 - Bolivian side have scored 2+ goals in 12 of 18 home matches since 2012. the altitude of La Paz is just brutal for opposing teams to deal with. Chilean teams on the road are always good for an 'over' simply because of the style most of them play. And in regards to the current situation, it being 1-1 after first leg, Chileans have to try to score, which is the worst position to be in when ur up on that mountaintop playing.
