That's really poor advise if you have a "decent amount on them"...
It all really depends on what a decent amount of money is and what odds you have on Italy...
I grabbed Italy to win @ 16.5 : 1 ....If thats what you have and say you have for simplicity 500.00 on Italy to win then why would you NOT take Germany today to at least make some profit?
If that above scenario is close to what you have brewing why not bet double you original wager on Germany @ the available line of -108?
You stand to win 8,000 if Italy wins the tourney. You can wager 1000 on Germany to advance and if they do at the very least you net about 500 in profit. If Italy advances you still stand to net 7000 and you can hedge accordingly from there...

This is right. Its a gamble, but it would be on the assumption that if Germany wins, miost likely it would be in regulation..
I though the Germany to advance line was lower. I'm showing -250 at my book...
In this case I would simply hedge out Germany @ -0.25 at -150 for some draw protection @ a lower wager amount, say to at least win back the original wager...
Still, @ 16:1 odds there is profit to be made hedging, albeit its a bit risky...
I have Germany and Italy to lieft the trophy, so I really dont have a dog in this fight...
