I remember a class speaker election we had in my elementary school once. Patrick vs Steve. Patrick had advocated for better milk, longer recesses, and shortened nicer and better playgrounds. Steve just wanted to "clean up all this shit once and for all." We had absolutely no idea what he meant by that, but a not-to-be-underestimated number were curious enough to give him their vote. Steve did the rest and had bribed with sweets and toys. He won the election by 93000 votes to 14, even though there were only 30 of us in the class.
You would have thought that was the end of an insignificant class president election, but what started then is still known in my hometown as "The Three Day Tyranny" and it is rarely talked about. I would not recommend anyone to even talk about it. In that place they still pump tranquilizers into the drinking water to this day.
