Who can blame you for this selection? The Rockies have lost by more than one run in each of their last 8 losses. Twenty-eight of their 32 losses since the All-Star break have been by more than a run. The Padres' bats went limp against the Reds this week, scoring only 7 runs in three games, but tonight they get to hit against someone named McCade Brown. The 25-year old Brown will be making his 4th start for the Rockies after the first three did not go well. His ERA is 12.54!

The Rockies last 8 losses have been by more than one run after they finished going through the motions again last night in Los Angeles. Since the All-Star break, 28 of their 32 losses have been by more than one run. 

They managed 8 hits in the 3-game series. That was my biggest clue that they didn't care. I bet on the Rocks +1.5 +150 on Monday night. Their starter Chase Dollander had the Dodgers stymied for the first 5 innings, but he'd been experiencing what was later described as "knee discomfort", and after facing one batter in the bottom of the 6th, they came out to check on him and decided to remove him from the game after he'd thrown only 76 pitches. The Rockies led 1-0 at the time despite having no hits, and I knew my chances of winning my bet probably departed when Dollander departed. The hapless Rockies lost 3-1.

It really is. It's one thing for a team to be short on talent, but these Rockies just don't care. They feel they can't win in Dodger Stadium, so they've been laying down every night.

Congrats on the Mariners. Miles Mikolas wasn’t his usual terrible self on the road, but the M’s finally got to him in the 6th.

Dodgers runline bettors got lucky in the top of the 9th. Dunderhead Dave Roberts entrusted those -1.5 bets to the care of the highly flammable Tanner Scott. All four Rockies that faced him smashed the ball hard, but only the leadoff hitter Ryan Ritter reached base with a double. The next two batters hit the baseball right to Mookie at shortstop, and then Max Muncy at third caught the bullet off the bat of Hunter Goodman to end it.

Down to your last out and then…….BOOM.
