Flash back ago a month. Monday October 26th. Monday Night Football Eagles @ Redskins spread -9.5 for Phili on the road.
Flash forward to tomorrow afternoon. Sunday November 29th. Redskins @ Eagles spread -9.5 for Phili at home.
What do you have. You have the exact same spread except Phili is now at home instead of being on the road. We all know Philadelphia is a much better home team than they are a road team. But lets look over at the last month.
Eagles last 4 games.
WON 40-17 @ HOME against the GIANTS . Giants were destroyed in all aspects of football. Giants were also awful at that time, and somewhat still are.
LOSS 20-16 @ HOME against DALLAS. Cowboys are leading the NFC East but Phili usually beats dallas espically when 1st place was on the line.
LOSS 31-23 on ROAD against SAN DIEGO. Game was 31-7 at one point and Eagles didn't show up until the 4th quarter.
WIN 24-20 on ROAD against Chicago. The Eagles didn't win this game, Jay Cutler loss it when he couldn't hit any of his wide open receivers.
So since these teams last met the Eagles are 2-2 SU and 2-2 ATS.
Washingtons Last Month
BYE WEEK after they were beat by phili.
31-17 LOSS on ROAD against ATLANTA. Spread was 11.5 in that game so as much as they lost the game, they almost covered the spread and i do remember they were driving late in that game and if it wasn't for a INT would have covered the game.
WIN 27-17 @ HOME against DEN. Yes denever is overated and aren't that good, mainly away from home but say what you want they are 7-4 with wins against NE,NYG,CIN,DAL,SD. I'm pretty sure those are 5 quality teams.
LOSS 7-6 on road @ DALLAS. They were up 6-0 and could have won the game if they would of hit the 50 yard FG early in the 4th quarter against the cowboys. The cowboys didn't score their td until 2:17 left in the 4th.
So the Redskins have gone 1-2 SU and 2-1 ATS in their past 3 games and almost upset the cowboys as a huge underdog.
Moving on:
This is a divison game. Washington would love nothing more than to upset any team in their division and ruin the eagles, giants, or cowboys playoff chances.
The eagles won that mnf game by a score of 27-17. So they covered by .5 points.
Before that game the Redskins had won 3/4 against the Eagles including their last 2 trips to Phili have been victories.
Last year they beat them 23-17 as 6.5 underdogs and the year before that 20-12 again as 6.5 underdogs.
In their last 10 games, phili has only beat them by double digits 1 time. That is 10%.
Injuries:
Washington will be without:
DeAngelo Hall -- out Chris Cooley --- out Albert Hanesworth -- doubtful and prob wont play Clinton Portis --- doubtful and prob won't play
That is alot of key players that they are out with. However the Skins are 2-0 ATS without portis, cooley & hanesworth this year.
Eagles Injuries:
Asaunte Samuel & Sheldon Brown are both probable and should play but are still hurting with injuries. Sheldown Brown played last sunday night against chicago and on numerous plays couldn't stay with any receiver on the bears. Jason Campbell might actually be able to hit a receiver unlike mr. cutler.
Quintin Demps Akeeme Jordon Ellis Hobbs Omar Gaither Stewart Bradley are all out. They Eagles are currently using their 6th linebacker this year. They are absolutely hurting in the linebacking position. I know the Redskins aren't a heavy pass team but a high school team could pick apart this linebacking crew right now.
The eagles have brought back Trotter to fill the spot but he is OLD. I love him and he brings intensity but he's just gotta retire. The Eagles as much as this might go unknown really miss Brian Dawkins on defence.
The eagles will be blitzing all day long like they always do, but if the eagles don't get to campbell look for him to actually have a big day.
Jason Campbell was 29/43 for 284 Yard 2 TD's and a pointless Pick at the end of the half a month ago against the Eagles.
So with all of that said, I don't see how the Eagles are going to cover this game. I am a huge Eagles fan and i'm sure they will hopefully win this game. However, it is going to be a dog fight like it always is with the redskins. When its a rivary game / divisoin games teams always seem to get up for those games.
If i was in a sportsbook i'd be throwing down at least $500 on this game. I urge all of you to at least take the redskins in some kind of way.
Buy a .5 to make it +10 or tease them by 7 pts or 13 pts it dont matter. But i am very confident that they cover this game.
Good Luck to all of you this weekend.
MY PLAY:
Washington Redskins +10 (-112) ( BUY .5 )
( know i will be taking them +9.5 on the competition as I know i'm not allowed to buy points )

I like the write up buddy but this seems like more of a fade of your Eagles to me lol... The skins have soo many key injuries especially at RB... No Portis or Betts today and you and me both know we cant put our pick of the year on the back of Jason Campbell lol

Well sisson i love you dearly, but it looks like i could put my pick of the year on Jason Campbell. The eagles from what I see where lucky to get the victory. Game went just as i figured it would
