I think we all want this forum to thrive, and for the most part, the NHL section appears to have the highest quality of posters, with the least amount of toxic, juvenile behavior. As we all know gambling brings in a seedy element at times, and the profiles of those that participate aren't always of the highest caliber. That said, a few ideas for the mods, admins, or whoever the hell looks after this place and cares about its success.
1. Posting bets without clarifying moneyline, puckline, etc should just be flat-out ignored and deleted.
2. Posting random YTD records without a history of posts to back the record up should be flat-out rejected and deleted.
3. Posting bets with imaginary, made-up lines that don't exist on any book should be flat-out rejected.
4. Historically having a reputation for being dishonest about record keeping should get you a ban.
5. Historically having a reputation of being a general asshole, should get you muted for X time.
There's a reason why quality cappers don't always mingle here and stay tucked away at competitor forums. I stopped posting here a while ago because of most of the above. Came back because competing sites don't have nearly the amount of NHL collab and foot traffic this site sees. Allowing low-IQ, low-quality posters to run free muddies the waters and dilutes the quality of discord.
This will likely get ignored but wanted to get some discussion going because I know I'm not alone, and we should all have the opportunity to benefit from having the best environment to collaborate in.

One would hope that the individuals who want to really be apart of this forum would pay attention to how you guys post your picks and manage your threads. I spent the first few years just observing and following certain cappers that I respected and thought did well here. Then once I decided to start posting I tried to follow suit. I do think it's in everyone's best interest to be transparent and honest with their records and also post the lines as they play them not what they want the lines to be . Overall records and daily records are key but overall unit profit/loss that's not as big of a deal to me since everyone wagers differently. Just my opinion.
I will say this is the best forum on Covers and the only forum I participate in for that very reason. Keep up the solid work Gents and Jules!!

Well said. Same for me, I don't bother with any of the other sports here. The NHL group we have here is clearly the creme de la creme!
