There's not much if anything I don't know about the game of hockey. But I do have a question regarding gambling :)
I've been playing recreationally for about 5-6 years now. I've done fairly well but I never really kept track of my bets probably as well as I should. I would just make a deposit at the start of each NHL season and then make a withdrawal each month of profits whatever they were if I did not have a profit for the month over my deposit amount I would not make a withdrawal.
Anyways to my question, I am still a bit confused about "units" I think I may be able to do better on bets if I have analytical stats on my plays.

Well there are two schools of thought on it and how people play. Are you wagering a flat amount on each game or are you wagering a certain amount to make one unit ?
Most will wager a certain amount to make one unit. For example on your sharks game you would wager $120 to make $100. But of course you could wager $100 at -120 and you would make $83.33
So it is much more easy to wager to make one unit than to just wager a unit.
