Skins drafted a linebacker with their 5th rd choice # 205 to go with a run defense that gave up 5 yds per rush and 143 yards per game.IMO if those #'s do not improve they will have a hard time matching last years win total.

great exactly what the bookie dreams you both ride different sides of this game and one will win. Good move on. There are other games to discuss as well.

what game are you referring too? I’ve made no wagers and wisely will wait…
My only point which has been twisted is Regression will hit Daniels…. Certainly over drafted in Fantasy as a top 3 and will regress behind that O line and D coordinators catching up.
REALLY SIMPLE
still curious why people are jacked up this season on Daniels This years CJ Stroud. Sorry if it hurts feelings..the truth often does.
if you want my thoughts on a particular game bring it…. Good man Spottie

100% wrong I make a living of admitting when I’m wrong… happens often knock it off blueser, your assumptions are taking away from your historical capping knowledge. Great job with that but news flash “there are numerous ways to skin a cat” and your spreadsheets and historical stats etc seems very naive to say is the only way. In fact it’s just silly brotha. Literally step back and look at the attacks you’re making…. You know nothing about me, not a thing.
the “blow hard who knows it all is actually looking at you in the mirror…. Your arrogance with no background is annoying and won’t get you far here on the forums. Loosen up quit claiming to know anything about JJWoods, add some value, and eliminate the personal stuff. Or don’t …it’s all you. Guarantee you would learn a little something with an open mind…. My models from 1981 maybe similar to yours.

I am confused about something you posted last year in the post-season. You said Jayden Daniels was a star and that's why you took Washington as 3 point dogs in Tampa Bay but this year he's going to be mediocre at best. Is he a star or isn't he?

Really you’re still confused and not clear…. Sigh. I mean even after reading the subject line you’re replying to?
I’m predicting regression from last seasons tremendous successes. SIMPLE bud Now go kick rocks

And yet another high dollar fantasy draft remote from NYC Area…..
1. Jackson 2. Allen. 3. DANIELS
I’ll state again this kid is due for regression and will be this years CJ Stroud as a fantasy bust. Offensive line, d coordinator adjustments, and expectations will hurt Daniels. Has Scary Terry shown up to camp yet? Unfortunately Daniels is also a major injury risk
Per my tiers I have Hurts, Burrow, Mahomes, Nix ahead of Daniels placing him #7. I would even take Purdy ahead of him for value reasons
** caution, weirdo alert in this thread

My head clearly is on week one wagers. I read in to that narrative. Clearly if you don’t like Daniel’s then I assumed you were against the Commanders week 1. If I’m off topic just ignore no big deal to me.

Haha! Love it Spottie… great call last night. I forecast a helluva season for ya my friend.
I honestly will look at week 1 in two more weeks… college is my jam. But yes Redskins will start the season behind the 8 ball for various reasons.
always look forward to your insight Spottie!

Here’s another one for those to consider…
Sanders absolutely out played 2023 1st round 1st pick Bryce Young

Since 1967 there have been a total of 10 quarterbacks to reach the divisional round as a rookie. All 10 are listed below and I have placed them in order of who scored the most points through the first three quarters along with some other stats.

@JJWoods
First of all JD5 is a QB nerd, a gym rat ,just wants to get better a lot like Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning. The Redskins have a cheat code in Jayden Daniels. There schedule is the same as all NFC East teams except for 3 games against different opponents. The Redskins are playing harder teams but I'm not worried about the raiders, bears chargers, dolphins Giants twice. There o-line will be better than last year with tunsil Coleman biadich cosmic and connerly. We have to find out if the defense is better especially the defensive line. As long as JD5 is upright the Redskins have a good chance to win any game that they play

I think Stroud had a good year last year when you understand he was playing behind a very bad offensive line. Sacked 52 times 2nd most in the league. When you have a bad O-line it makes life very difficult you're not supposed to excel. So much to worry about causes a ton of extra stress. Was there ever a year Brady or Manning had a bad 0-line. I don't know it'd be interesting to know never heard of them having one. But Texans still made the playoffs. I don't think Daniels will have a slump. I think he's just that good. As long as the 0-line do their job he'll excel. He's too accurate and crafty to just fall off and when he doesn't see what he likes he can just take off. Guys like that are pretty much a cheat code.

Right you are. I posted some numbers above showing how he had the best game by a rookie QB in the divisional round ever but not enough people are grasping how good this kid is. They will soon enough.

The first mistake is comparing Daniels to CJ Stroud. The Texans reside in the AFC South so he got to face division quarterbacks named Anthony Richardson, Trevor Lawrence, Gardner Minshew, Will Levis and Ryan Tannehill, hardly a Murderer's Row of quarterbacks if you'll pardon the baseball reference.
Your second mistake is underestimating how good a coach Dan Quinn is. The only thing that stopped him from beating the Patriots in the 2016 super bowl was Kyle Shanahan, who was calling terrible plays based on the situations they we're in. Did you notice how bad the Cowboys defense was last year? They finished the three previous seasons 7th, 5th and 5th in points allowed with Dan Quinn running the defense. He leaves and the defense drops to 31st in points allowed under Mike Zimmer.
The combination of Quinn and Daniels is a winning combination. Hop on board.

@C-70Blues
Actually in my thoughts…. The awesome combination last year was Kliff Kingsbury and Jaylen Daniels. I have more respect for Klingsbury than 90% OC’s. He’s the only thing I see to save Daniel’s and this squad’s regression.
-just scratching the surface.
- CHEAT CODE
-best ever division round in history weee
The hype especially from ESPN and C70 is comical…in truth. JD and these Commies as popular as a public play as they are, will not sniff the NFC Championship. Deebo lmao, so overrated and a locker room issue should he even stay healthy. Anyone seen McLaurin? Obviously yet another locker room distraction. Home field advantage is meh… Eagles look much better in my opinion and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cowboys and Giants both split with this Redskins team. Much like the Lions, last season was their Peak for now.
Daniels will win a ring one day But this season will be a tough spot for the dude. Just my thoughts…

Cheat code… good points. One thing there really isn’t an easy game in today’s NFL… so your Giants twice, Raiders, Chargers, Dolphins Bears is not easy. In fact, just my opinion they would not be favored by more than 8 in any of those matchups. Of those six games to finish 4-2 would be blessing. Now let’s look at the rest of the schedule
“Cheat code” - exactly why Mr Daniels has too much weight on his skinny shoulders this year. It’s heavy…

What?
Saw you mention Marino, dak, stroud, Yates, brooks… cmon man…those guys never won a SB and are to mention Dan Marino a hall of famer in that sentence is nonsense.
russ Wilson, purdy, Sanchez…. What in the heck is going on here all bums

Good points Ross wins
c70 “but not enough people are grasping how good this kid is. They will soon enough.”
I have to disagree yet again here…he was in the running for MVP behind Allen, LJ, Barkley, Burrow and Goff. Was running away with Rookie of the Year until end of season when the also well coached Bo Nix stepped into the conversation and almost stole it…
Theres no question at all that everyone is in tune with how incredible this kid is… naive to think he’s sneaking up on anyone.
He’s absolutely been grasped as MVP caliber… maybe in a couple years, but not with this current team and his limited rookie year experience. Kingsburry works magic though…so keep that in mind. Dudes got an awesome OC brain.
Cowboys and Giants will both split with old DC. As major underdogs too

They're listed at +1800 to win the super bowl, which is a far cry from the Eagles at +650. What is this limited rookie year experience you speak of?
