SEATTLE -14 (this Philip Rivers mockery) is a complete joke and embarrassing. This hick has like 12 children and is taking the paycheck. He will get absolutely driven into the ground all game long. That’s a disgrace.

I am not sure what you wanted Rivers to do? Having kids has nothing to do with it. I am sure he is fine for money. But of course any QB they sign is going to take the money.
I am not sure what you wanted Indy to do? They need a QB that knows that system and can hand the ball off to Taylor and hopefully get the running game going. They needed someone that could get rid of the ball quick if they needed to throw; Rivers has always been able to do that. They are still in the hunt for the playoffs.
They apparently called around to a few retired guys. Sure, any QB could get driven into the ground. Their O-line is decent, so it should not be too bad.
The issue is how at his age he takes hits. But, hopefully, it is just a 1-game stopgap and he will be fine.
So, very much of the QB game is mental. That is why some QBs last so long. The ones that do not learn to rely on learning defenses as their mobility leaves them are the ones that do not last. The issue is how quickly he can still react to what he sees and the speed of the game.
But either way -- good luck! ![]()
