The word theory has a number of distinct meanings in different fields of knowledge, depending on their methodologies and the context of discussion.
In common usage, people often use the word theory to signify a conjecture, an opinion, or a speculation.
In this usage, a theory is not necessarily based on facts; in other words, it is not required to be consistent with true descriptions of reality.
True descriptions of reality are more reflectively understood as statements which would be true independently of what people think about them.
Basically, what I think you're talking about is not taking sides where the lines may have been incorrectly lined due to a win or a loss ( or a combination of both) in the previous week by a team that may have either played significantly above its ability or significantly bellow it ...or something to that effect ...
but, of course ...this leaves the minor detail which is called capping the games ..

I do not know what game you were watching but you need to go to the eye doctor to check your vision. The titans so far are the one team that delivered most hits on Peyton manning this year. (i believe they hit him 7 or even 8 times.)
They also intercepted manning and also sacked him on a crucial 3rd down play that got them the ball back with a chance to drive down the field and kick the winning field goal.
And they did. If brandon jones holds on to a vince young pass that hit him in the hands while he was wide open (defender was actually behind him) they would have kicked the field goal and won the game.
You my friend have the worst break down of a game i have ever seen. I dont even think you see this game at all
