Teams that won on the road in the wild card round and are on the road in the divisional round are 20-48 SU & 35-32-1 ATS s/'78. When you go inside the numbers it usually comes down to the road teams ability to run the football or their lack of it. I track rushing attempts and here are some interesting numbers.

I believe in running teams. It's a simple concept, but a recipe for success.
The Chargers couldn't, not with that o line and injury to Hampton. They were 1 dimensional.
The Jaguars refused to, or didn't enough you could say. Liam Coen decided to throw at the Bills strength instead. Probably the worst coaching performance of the playoffs thus far.
The Bears sold out to stop Josh Jacobs in the 2H. 7 carries for 6 yards. Putting all the weight on Jordan Love.
The Texans ran for 164 yards.
The Patriots ran for 146 yards.
The Bills only gained 3.0 yards per carry, but still had more rushes than the Jaguars.
In every game but 1(Eagles/49ers), the winning team had more rushes than the losing team.
Running is safer than putting the ball in the air and in harms way. It keeps the clock running. Most runs are from under center, where play action is more effective.
