Should the Ravens be favored over the Steelers on MNF?

I'd be wary of Hampton out more than Parker.  That guy is one of if not the best nost tackle in the league and it could mean trouble in terms of stopping the run, occupying the line, etc.

Balt is 6-2 ATS last eight against Pitt....
 
Pitt 10-4 ATS last fourteen at home...
 
Rookie QB first time on the road and on MNF....
 
Balt 6-21 on the road last 27...OUCH
 
Typically Pitt/Balt games are close. Last yr Pitt did stomp Balt at home. Different yr different coach QB on and on. Balt D is playing lights out. Philly game will be blueprint for Balt D. No Kampton No Parker.

Don't Overreact to the Steelers Loss...
I know they looked horrible on Offense...
9 Sacks allowed and almost no Running Game ..
 
Betting on a Rookie QB on the road is
 
Especially on MNF at Pittsburgh ...

Wow, hell yeah, keep talking up the ravens, I would love for the public to suck up to these clowns so they can take a bloodbath when the Steelers roll them at the Ketchup House.
Seriously, one game does not make a season, and Rasdhard can run the ball with the best of them. Flacco coming in to Pittsburgh will be full of nerves and the Steelers take this one by more than a TD.
Have some of you people even seen the Steelers play on Monday night???

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Rashard Mendenhall isn't a speed back is he? Isn't he more of a bruiser? You can't run on Baltimore with a bruiser, you're playing right into their hands.

My 2 cents

I will play Balt or lay off.  My basic reasoning for this is that first,  as mentioned a couple times before last years game is fresh in there minds.  Second, I don't think Flacco will throw the ball a lot.  The will give it to their backs over and over again.  Third, Pitt is missing 2/3's of their starting D Line.  Fourth, remember what happened last year when injuries hit Pitt's D, they crumbled.  I see the same thing happening.  Fifth, I said this alot when Cleveland went up against Pitt.  This O-line is not very good, and it showed against the eagles.  What makes you think the Ravens won't try to kill Big Ben just like the eagles did.  Sixth, Parker is out and Mendenhall doesn't have the speed of Parker to beat a D like the Ravens.  IMO.

I don't make it a habit to bet on Rookies on the road like this but I don't see him passing enough to put the game on his shoulders.  I see this as a defensive struggle with a fg deciding the game.

in my eyes, Ben hasn't been the same since the accident and Super Bowl.

So I guess im always a little skeptical of the Steelers nowadays.  I won and lost a lot of money on the Steelers.  I've also found sweet spots to fade them as huge favorites and cash in.

Just trying to figure out if this could be one of those teams.

I guess I need to ask myself......Are the Ravens defense the shutdown defense they once were?  If they are, this will be a game decided on the ground.

PS - Safety LaRon Landry is out week 4 right?

No way in hell this Baltimore team would EVER be favored on the road against this Pittsburgh team. Pittsburgh may not be a top team this year, but they should still win their division with ease. This division has taken over as the worst in the NFL, finally relieving the NFC West from that title. I'd say the line is right on target. Pittsburgh should win by a bout a TD in a 20-13 type of game. Pittsburgh has much more talent, and Mendenhall is a better back than Parker if he's the one that's getting the start. Parker really doesn't impress me too much. The OL is still bad  though and the Ravens will send pressure, but their offense won't move the ball. Flacco will be a big star in the league someday, but he's a little ways off from that right now.

Small leans to Pitt and the under for me.

HoopsPro - Overstatement on Rashard over Willie there, my freng. I really doubt he can muster more than 60 yards against the Ravens D.

Dont even need the +6 with Ravens they are going 3-0 to show the world they are legit. No one talks about the Ravens until the end of a season if they have a winning record. Ravens ML

Ravens have it with ease. If Pitt wasnt so beat up that would be a different story. Bmore's running game is ROCK SOLID and the D might be back to it's legendary status (we will see). As long as Joe Cool doesn't throw too many long interceptions and Bmore runs it, moves the ball with small hops and owns the time of possession (as they have been) they have this one in the bag. This is FINALLY a MNF Baltimore win vs the Steelers. BELIEVE!

Looks like a strong lean to the Under for some people.
 
But most MNF contests tends to be exciting in terms of scoring. But i also like the Under because this is a game that will be dominated by defense.

What i'm getting from those "ratings" are:
 
1) Flacco will be just fine. Yeah, rookie on the road, but my divination assumes it'll be a fortunate night for him.
 
2) Steelers defense will be suspect.
 
Personally, i think next Sunday night would be a better time to invest on the Steelers as they play a revenge game against the Jaguars.
