Should the Ravens be favored over the Steelers on MNF?

No Willie Parker. Rashard the rookie from Skokie (represent! Niles West!) gets the rock in Week 4. Big Ben hampered by something? Or is the Steelers O-line that bad against the best defenses in the league? Is the absence of Faneca really that detrimental?
 
Joe Flacco could be a sleeper type of QB. I don't think he's that good but he does have the build and arm to be something special.
 
Could this game be a PK or maybe the Ravens favored? How about the total? I can see this game being exciting if teams' defense keeps making scoring plays on defense. MNF seems notorious for that so far.
 
Anybody spot any lines yet?
 
Whatever the line is, i've a huge lean on the Ravens. Ravens go 4-0 for sho.

Pittsburgh are the biggest pretenders in the whole NFL BUT they are almost unbeatable at home

Born and raised in Baltimore.. as a hardcore Ravens fan take the ravens whatever the spread this week I promise you the ravens did not forget the embarrasment last year when the Steelers spanked them on Prime time. The Ravens really believe in their new coaches and teammates at this point in the season. Big Ben most likely wont even play this game. Ravens go 3-0 on MNF.

pitt will be at least 4 point fav's IMO...willie parker being out really doesn't matter in this game. Unless Big Ben is out, pitt will be the fav's

Hey PaintIt,  what's the story with this LaRon McClain guy?     How big of a role do you see him playing the rest of the season?

not so fast my friend. hardcore raven fan myself and one thing everyone is overlooking is the fact that joe flacco is a rookie and this will be his first start on the road in a very hostile stadium on the biggest stage mnf. from the university of del to mnf is big differ. also ravens never show up on primetime games. my pick is although it may make me vomit to watch it is the steelers big monday night. take that and run to cashout i promise

maybe i can help, mclain is a bruiser and he fits in to our plans well. he is a change of pace back that we bring in to spell mcgahee and rice who in my opinion have similar styles. mclain is best used in second half and late in game to simply break wills. no one wants to tackle a rb that outweighs most linebackers.just like jacobs on giants. now he is only helpful to us if we have lead in second half if you are thinking fantasy points. amd truthfully we wont have that many leads late

I Just think that in watching the game against philly the steelers went away from what they do best. that is run the ball. they tried to throw on 1st and 2nd down every time. it was unsteeler like.  now i hate the steelers always had and always will, but the ravens might get there ass handed to them.  tomlin will not allow ben to get sacked 8 times. he will be ultra conservative and run willie and rashard all day.  same goes with the ravens this being flacco first night game.  i believe steelers will come away with a win, but i still have to do more research. good luck guys. might be an old fashion grind it out football game

They got away from the run last week because you can't run on the Eagles.

i will take pittsburgh at -9'. they will whoop the shit outta of the ravens.  they played cleveland and cincinnati.  both of those teams have no wins.  good luck guys

     With all due respect, NO WAY.  They're simply not good enough.  The books would lose their asses (or could) if they made the Steelers the dogs in this game.  The Ravens have played the Bengals and Browns.  They wont do anything this year.  Trust me.  They are the worst 2-0 team in NFL history.  They finish 7-9 at best.

When the two previous posters mention that Baltimore has played two winless teams thus far which is why they are 2-0, they fail to mention the fact that Pittsburgh got one of it's wins against one of the same teams Baltimore played and their other win came against another winless team. They were beaten up against the lone good team they've played thus far.

No matter what the line is I will take Pit at home...same concept applies to the Atl/Tampa match up couple weeks ago, rookie QB on the road against good D.  No matter how bad Pit looked last week, they're at home and they should win this by at least 17 pts.

probably not kane since ravens have a very goood run stop defence no matter who runs they wont get much u gona have to throw the ball to beat revens and ben is a lot more valuable to the steelrs than willie would be so as longest they have ben yhry will be all right and ravens wont score much on steelers defence so i think pittt wins this one

tough game to cap.  rookie qb, balt played shitty teams so far, pitt unimpressive, banged up...ravens will have asswhooping from last year fresh in their minds...dont really think they'll get blown out again.  either way this game will be a fuckin war!   gotta take the points right now, but is that vegas wants you to do?   or is pitt too much of a public team and everyone remembers the 80-0 beating they put down on balt last year on monday night?

Liking PIT here, maybe the under as well. Great thing is that with this being a MNF matchup you can bet alternate spreads on both, sort of like if you wanted to bet the Chargers to blow out the Jets this last Monday. The Eagles-Cowboys game was one for the history books but it looks like they are about to have their second crap game in a row next Monday.
 
How much cash I put on this depends on how my weekend goes, as I have some huge bets I am going to make, but if I win some then for me this game is PIT for a "unit" or so.
