Kick fg 2nd down 48 seconds preseason game
It's just another one of the annoying trends from the last 4 or 5 years. Used to be a team down 9-11 points you always tried to get the TD first because it's easier to get the FG with less time. Now they always kick first, I don't get it.
Especially in preseason wouldn't you want the young backup QB to practice the 2 min drill and try to score who cares about practicing an onside kick they are already so difficult and random.
Every single dog covered and every single game went under.
The NFL has actually become worse and worse for betting on every year and it's all because of these coaches making weird decisions that they think is cutting edge but doesn't actually work. Really looking forward to 18 weeks of seeing that stupid 'analytics say GO' on 4th and 3 in 1st quarter tie game and the offense gets stuffed instead of taking a lead. Or if you're down 14 and score, going for 2 which is another thing I hate.
The sport has been engineered to make as many games as possible come down to the wire. You have to sweat out almost every game and if you're on the favorite it's usually excruciating having to hope you get a pick because they go into soft defense at the end while the other team gets 4 downs over and over.
But no team should be favored by more than 3 in any preseason game. I don't care if they're playing starters and the other one isn't. It's a total overreaction to that info. Bengals played Burrow and didn't cover the 6.5, Titans played Ward and didn't cover 6.5.
