Sam Darnold was in this spot last year with The Vikings vs Detriot for the #1 seed and he played like a pig and The Vikings lost 31-9. Only 9 points vs a Suspect Detriot Defense that Jaden Daniels carved up and knocked out. Darnold continued the poor play in the 1st round vs the Rams who slapped him around. Darnold had a great season but Coach Oconnell said good bye, I will take my chances with JJ. It seems as though the bigger the game or moment the smaller Darnold gets. Darnold played for Shanahan so I think Sala will know what buttons make him shrink.
The 49er Offense is balanced & efficient and at the moment looks unstoppable. Purdy is spreading it out making defenses cover the entire field and when it is covered he runs for 1st downs. The Seatle Defense is good but I think the 49er offense is peaking at the right time. The table is set for San Fran to play the rest of the post season at home and that is something no one thought was possible considering all the injuries. Good Teams find a way to win.
