For anyone interested in trends, a guy sent me these three:
- Revenge play.
When a team lost to that same opponent earlier in the season they are
16-9 (64%) ATS. The Rams lost to the Panthers earlier and the Packers
lost to the Bears.
- QB experience. When you have a QB matchup where one played in the playoffs before and one has not. The one with the playoff experience is 39-20 (66%) ATS. This year we have the Rams, Packers and the Chargers.
- Teams that made the playoffs in the previous season against teams that did not. These teams are 33-16 (67%) ATS. This would include the Rams, Packers, Eagles, Chargers and the Bills. The Eagles would require a second look because even though the 49ers did not make the playoffs last year — they do have playoff experience.
