Its January. Time for me to come back and spread the gospel :D I hope you all had a great 2025, and I hope we all kill the books in the playoffs.
San Francisco´s starting season roster was elite, probably the best of the NFL. But that’s not the team we’re seeing right now. The injuries to Fred Warner andNick Bosa are literally season breakers. Those 2 are SFs Defense. To make matters worse, Tatum Bethune (Warner´s replacement) went down on the last weekend and is also out.
On the other hand, Philly is as healthy as its been. Jalen Carter´s status has been like that all season long... he will play. Dean is back. And Lane Johnson is presumed to be back at RT and he is crucial for that O. Carter and Jordan Davis are the best 1-2 DTs. When they play, Philly´s center is unbreakable.
So, will San Francisco score against the Eagles. Most definitely, that offense is talented and it is not like they will be blanked out. But there will be plenty of stops. However, on the other side of the ball, I dont see SF stopping Philly, especially Barkley. Dont be fooled by last week´s score. SF bled out 170yds to Seattle. Seattle went conservative with the lead and managed the game to perfection. I see something similar in this game. And even if it is not a blowout, in the end it will be one of those games where the Home Team never was at risk of not winning.
Im HEAVY, largest bet of my life, on the ML since Monday. If you got the spread at 3.5 you are fine. If you are jumping in now, take the ML

It almost seems like you are watching last years eagles.
They have a lousy offense mainly because of oc play calling and barkleys regression. eagles are a poor run defense, remember eagles bears in philly, cant stop the run and have a hard time scoring. 49ers are beat up but they have been all year. purdy has a better road record then home. dc saleh has a good history of shutting down hurts as well.

In my years of doing this, when you see a line steamed this hard ALL WEEK, and I don't care who is steaming it, it usually doesn't turn out well.
I look the Niners at +4, a bad # in hindsight. But I'm profoundly not bothered by it. My gut instinct is telling me to add more on +6, and a little quarter piece on the ML.
We shall see what happens tomorrow
