It looks like Old Man Rivers will be starting this week vs one of the best Defenses in the league.
Why is Rivers coming back? I think there is a lot he likes about this Team and offense that got him excited.
1. The O line and John Taylor leading the league in Rushing
2. The Weapons TE Tyler Warren - Rivers likes a good go to TE when the heat is on and Warren ranks 4th at TE HOF TE Antonio Gates
WR Alec Pierce - Rivers likes a good deep threat and long ball and Pierce leads the league in yards per reception
WR Mike Pittman- Big target possession guy keeps the chains moving
3. The Familiarity of the Offense - Coach Rivers has been running Steichen's offense with his HS football team that he has been coaching and he has remained close with Coach Steichen.
Rivers can read a defense, get in the right play call and make you defend the entire field .......... can he still move in a pocket and sling it?
I bet that he can but this Defense is a tough way to start

You'd also think that there is a high probability of him pulling up lame on a scramble, something stupid like that. At 44 if you are not in prime physical condition, things like that can happen at anytime, let alone full go in a nfl game.

I really don't want to see him get hurt.
