Not a lot I can say as far the x's and o's (and y's/why's) that hasn't already been said in multiple threads, good work guys!
If I could ask one person's opinion, it would be Baker Mayfield, Tampa homeboy, he picked both these stout defenses apart in a win @ Seattle and a loss @ home to NE. Having watched both those games I was probably more impressed with the Patriots, they played a smart game, didn't make crucial mistakes, made big plays. Especially impressed with Drake, who as a UNC fan, watched closely in college, and not surprised at his success though I didn't expect it quite so soon.
Gotta ' luv Sam Darnold too, happy for his success, the road to success as an NFL QB is as difficult as any position in any sport, perseverance is an underrated quality and Darnold exemplifies just that.
This is a tough game to cap especially when you bounce the schedules against each other. Yes, Pats journey was easier in the regular season, but the fact that they found a way to win against 3 really good defenses in the playoffs has sold me, and I'm a big fan of Mike Vrabel too. Who'll make the critical mistake that ultimately costs them the game, you can argue about that all day. I generally fear young QBs in big games but I believe with the better running game and a couple pretty good receivers too, Kayshon Boutte, LSU boy, TE Hunter Henry, and the ol' pro Diggs, they'll be balanced against a very good Seattle defense. "Balance" that's key, and Maye will play well, within himself. Don't pay attention to Boutte's season numbers, he's a live threat and let's not forget Maye's passing accuracy. His postseason numbers may not be impressive but that was in less than ideal weather too, let's be real, and it's a beautiful day in Cali today.
Lastly, the Patriots defense will be the best defense on the field today, and they're both solid. If they can rattle Sam just a tad, we all know what can happen. No Charbonnet either, he was an integral part of the Seattle offense, he scored 12 TDs for the Hawks, that's big time, in a game of this magnitude, he'll be missed.
Do the Pats still have their old mystique, you wouldn't get an argument out of me. I think it's going to be a close game, easy to say I know, hard to see anything other than that though. I know the great Don Juan, gotta' luv him, 83 and still kicking it, would love to have a couple drinks with him, is on the Hawks, but I always stick to my guns, no disrespect to him. This game has 23-20 written all over it, least in my book, one way or another, I'm taking Dem points!
Pats +4.5, -110
Prop parlay, Darnold INT over .5, Njigba TD, Stevenson TD, +595 HRB
Let's have a great game and best of luck to all of you regardless of your play!
