Up nearly 75 units since last Sunday without risking more than 7.5 units on any play. Do not fade me here
New York Jets @ Baltimore Ravens
Ahh the lovely turnover machine Geno Smith against a Baltimore team that is absolutely money at home. Not many teams have been better than the Ravens ATS at home over the past few years, but that mystique has seemed to diminish this year. There home games this year has resulted in 3 wins and 1 loss however that is a bit misleading. They trailed 6-0 late in the 3rd against the Browns, needed an overtime blunder by Marvin Smith against the Bengals, and beat the Texans who are struggling big time this year.
The main culprit of there off-year has been there offensive line. Ray Rice has been abysmal all year averaging 3 yards per carry while Flacco has been under seige all year. That doesn't bode well going against a fierce pass rush in the Jets. Ray Rice finally got things going last week going for 131 yards off 25 attempts but that is again very misleading. The Chicago Bears are 30th against the rush. The Jets are ranked #1. With Ray Rice struggling to get anything going, Flacco will have to do most of the workload himself. Again, the offensive line of the Ravens vs the Dline of the Jets is a HUGE mismatch. Wilkerson and the rest of that line is going to have a field day.
I also like the fact that we have a team that just played in overtime going up against an angry Jets team off an embarrassing blowout loss.
On top of all that, the Ravens have a Thursday night Thanksgiving
rivalry game against the Steelers just 4 days later that they might have 1 eye
on. Either way, I love the Jets here. butt.... it's not my play of the month.
Indianapolis Colts @ Arizona Cardinals
I made a thread last week discussing how the Colts are being vastly overrated now that there #1 wideout is gone. Wayne took away the best defender on the opposing team opening up better routes for the other receivers. With him being gone, WR2s and WR3s are forced to be WR1s. Since Wayne's departure, Luck has only completed 56% of his passes, nearly 10% less than when he was on the field. Fortunately for the Colts, they are 2-1 since him being gone but they needed miracle comebacks against both the Texans and the Titans, while getting smacked in the face against the Rams. I like the Cardinals to do the same this week. Patrick Peterson is going to blanket another one of their receivers leaving very few options for Luck to turn to. There run game after being in the bottom half of the league all year showed signs of improvement last week against the Titans but the Titans are 20th against the Rush. The Cardinals are ranked #2 against the rush. So let’s recap, we have the Colts best receiver gone for the year, and the second best receiver being blanketed by one of the best cornerbacks in the league, and a sub-par run game going up against the 2nd best rush defense in the league. And there playing on the road.
The Colts have a 4 game lead in the division now thanks to beating the Titans last week which has all but crowned them division champs. And if there not sold yet, they face the Titans again next week which could close the door on the division. This game means absolutely nothing to the Colts while meaning everything to the Cardinals who are right there fighting for the last wildcard spot at 6-4.
Not sold yet? Anyone remember who the temporary head coach was for
the Colts last year while Pagano was gone? Bruce F****** Arians, today's coach
of the Arizona Cardinals.
