most of you know that offense will be lower than projected but “defense” numbers are close.
Detroit (9w) vs Bengals(7w): projected Rook QB- Altmeyer played well with ILL- 3007 yds, 22 TD, 5 int, QB for Bengals(Clifford with 2 starts or Flacco-bad numbers 2Td- 6 int(rusty gate). not pretty but Detroit wins +7.
GB(9w) vs Pitt (10w): even 2025 numbers on off & def, 2 rook QB (GB- Drones 1919yds, 17Td, 9 int). (Pitt- Allar 1100yds, 8 TD, 8 int). Again , slight edge for GB ML.
Indy(8w) vs NE(14w): NE stronger on defense by 6 points differential, no rookies -Leonard 2 yr exp,Richard’s 4 yr exp(no solid data) ( rookie for NE is solid - Morton (Tx Tech) 2780 yds, 22 TD, 6 int, must go NE +3.
AZ (3w) vs LV(3w): ugly numbers for both teams, AZ defense look suspect… (weak- they let Caro throw 3-4 20 yd passes and long runs), the buzz with Mendoza is on edge - 3555 yds-41 TD, 6 int and throw in National Champ, other QB for LV is Clark- rookie- 3244 yds, 28 TD- 11 Int. Slight edge for LV “Raideerrrrrrrsssss”, LV wins !!!!
Chargers(11w) vs Texans(12w): bottom line , Tx defense is great , they may shut down Chargers, back up QB have low samples to judge, Tx wins.
Tenn(3w) vs SF (12w): SF Better on off & def, back up QB for Tenn are 3,4,6 yr guys with low numbers (Trubisky last chance to stay in the league), SF backup QB are 2yr Martinez, 6 yr Jones, too much talent on SF… too many starter injuries that throw early season numbers ,SF win
as stated, too many unknowns to bet the farm, review your numbers and go off your innate skills.
