I have watched every Texan game and have seen them blow games in ways I never thought possible. Yes, I am disgusted and embarrassed but I believe they are better than their record shows. With that said, I am shocked at only getting 7.5 points against the Pats. We just saw Houston lose to Jacksonville in Houston and The Pats come back and beat the Broncos intypical Brady fashion. I know the Pats are on short rest after an overtime game but these dudes are proffessionals. I had this line at closer to 13 to 14.
The line may be telling and I smell a trap. As a Texans fan I am hoping so. I have lost a $hit load of cash this year backing my homer team but as a degenerate, I need the action on my team. LOL.
Any thoughts on why this line is so low (imo)??? Or, is this line right on the money?

The Texans are a difficult team to figure. All I can say is they are a
mess..... NE has the feel of a team that has figured out how to win
despite not having a high profile WR and missing key defensive players
due to injury...... So whats up with the point spread?? The world saw an
incredible comeback Sunday night and believe they will walk all over the
Texans...
Consider this... The Pats record away from Gillette
stadium is 2-3 with single digit margins of victory over Buffalo (23-21)
and Atlanta (30-23). If you can look at your team objectively, then you
will conclude they are no better than ATL or BUF, right? ...... a
spread of 9 or 9.5 feels about right in this game, and I would expect it
to stay under double digits, even though the public will be all over NE after what they saw on SNF.

The wins over Buffalo and Atlanta were light years away from this NE team. I agree with the OP and had this game opening at 11.

I agree with scalabrine.. Those wins were scraped out with jags on offense. They now have all the toys to play with on the field. You think you can stop Brady with Texans garbage D? Dream on. Blow out win in Pats favor as they steam into the offseason for the number 1 seed.

Also, you got the pats coming off an O/T primetime win against the freaking broncos. I can see this being a let down spot for them, and they take the Texans lightly.

I don't see New England losing the rest of the season, they beat Houston by at least 10-14 points
The Jets were one play away at Foxboro from beating the patriots twice this season , Baltimore will beat them as usual , and i can see them losing any game , not a great team here with the patriots, just very lucky , don't think there will be a 30 MPH in Houston

This line jumped out at me too. I think Houston will play harder in this game than in any game they've played this miserable season. Schaub should be better this week after coming back from the injury. Both teams have long injury lists. I don't like betting against Brady but this is a good spot to do so. Folks will be shocked if Houston wins SU, but not this old gambler.

its bad when your at home and can't score on Jacksonville , but this will be there super bowl with a revenge angle , anythings possible if they get in Brady's face like Denver did in the first half they can win , if they play like Denver did in the second half playing loose zones and not rushing forget it

Thanks for all of the feedback ... good stuff. May be stupid but I am going ML (+262) on this girl! Im not certain (cuz I don't know) but I feel a trap game here. Screw the capping in this one, Im going with my gut.

As a huge Pats fan this team rarely downplays/overlooks opponents. If they lose to shitty teams its because of turnovers and sloppy play, you will never see NE lose by 2+ TD to bad teams.
NE -7 seems almost too easy, Houston is just horrible right now. I have the Pats -1 in a teaser and I might put a small bet on them -7 tomorrow.
However, it wouldn't surprise me to see Houston play this game hardt because as I've seen a few posters mention this week, it's their "superbowl".

If you think they are gonna steam into the offseason, you should probably take the Texans.
