Steelers+3 x4.... I have watched about every Steeler game this season and done very well, they are in my market so I kind of watch them every year.... This season I've noticed that the defense started really bad but it is really getting better especially the last 4-5 games... The safety's worry me but I think that pass rush will make up for it tonight, Stroud is not that good on the road statistically and in this atmosphere I think he's going to be a little tad bit longer to throw that ball and with that offensive line being pretty weak the Steelers are going to get home tonight..... Houston's running game has gotten better recently but not much, the Steelers run defense the past five games have really gotten better facing some pretty good running teams as in Miami,Baltimore(twice) in Detroit.... Houston will be in deep doo doo if they cannot run the ball and I don't think they will..
On the other side of the ball I don't know what the Steelers want to do, if they come out and play conservative which I'm pretty sure they will because this is kind of a classic Steeler ugly game, it will take three to four quarters to get that offense to do anything against this defense.... If they come out aggressive, as is using the past to set up the run, I think they can move the ball on this team, Steelers running game has really picked it up, Houston has allowed a few teams this year to Pound The Rock on them and I think the Steelers have the horses to do that too....
Houston has a few things against them tonight, one being it's a Monday night Football home game for the Steelers, secondly, this field is awful lol, Houston has played most of their games 14 out of 17 on turf, this field is painted dirt, I'm not sure they can adapt, 3rd... It's freaking cold outside, wind chill will have the game about 25° crowd noise will be insane for them tonight..... I Got to take the three points here...
The Texans are on the longest SU winning streak for any team entering the playoffs, winning 9 in a row.
Teams on a 9+ game SU win streak entering the playoffs are 6-19 ATS since division realignment back in 2002, failing to cover the spread by 3.9 PPG. When those teams are listed as favorites, they are 5-14 ATS.
