And here is his running commentary on the SB. I suggest you check out his twitter because he has videos and images of how KC got hosed by the officials posted. Out of the 8-9 calls he analyzed and commented on, 7 were falsely called against the Chiefs! I don't know how much more proof I can offer. (The number of penalties and yards called against one team in a half in the SB was HISTORIC!) Respected ex-players agree the calls were bogus and/or egregious. A 3 time SB referee is telling you the calls were bogus or egregious, and yet you choose to put your head up your anus and believe it was all on the up and up?! Sure it was.
"Really didn’t see a foul for defensive holding on KC. Evans appeared to slip on his own.
Painfully clear KC has no intention of having their tackles line up legally on the line of scrimmage on pass plays.
Neither defensive hold called on KC comes close to the standard we saw the entire season for that call all season and certainly not what we saw in TB/GB.
The angle was bad on the offside on the FG so we don’t know for sure that 20 was or wasn’t offside. But it sure looked like the player on the other side, who was not called for offside, was significantly further up.
DPIs: I do think the first was a foul. It was close as to whether the ball was beyond the receiver when contact occurred but it appeared it wasn’t on the replay. (I looked at it again this morning and there was indeed feet entanglement with both playing the ball. That caused the defender to go down and that contact is incidental. This was not a foul.)
I don’t think the 2nd in the end zone was a foul. Some contact with the ball in flight but I don’t believe it significantly hindered the receiver
It’s very unusual to see the Super Bowl called significantly tighter in the passing game than the way it’s been called in the regular season. But there is no question that was true in The first half.
There doesn’t seem to be any crew cohesion as to foul selection. Very tight calls downfield but an obvious flinch by Gronkowski on his long completion is ignored.
It was declined of course due to the interception, but again, that offensive hold on KC has not been consistently called all year. Very little restriction and even in a normal year it isn’t a foul. “Clear and obvious” doesn’t seem to be the guidance tonight.
False start on Hill was entirely too technical. Maybe one or two frames before the ball moves. And called well after the play."
