Jesus, now I know NFL is in cahoots with the Vegas books and they can rig the games to change the outcome of wagers.
I wanted to rewatch the Super Bowl highlights because I missed some of them and NFL posted a highlight video on YouTube soon after the game was over.
I swear, I saw that Walker TD and the holding call on that highlight video last night but now it's completely removed and a chunk of highlights are now missing. That's really odd.
There were other YouTube videos of that TD run by Walker and all those videos are also removed from YouTube.
I should have screen recorded it last night, but I didn't feel like it.
This is truly screwed up.
I'm sure millions worth of $$$ are not paid out because of that penalty and the Vegas books definitely dodged a bullet for that game to not go over.
That is really messed up.

You are a weird cat for sure.

From what I saw. it was a bit of hold but probably not enough to make that much of difference but Walker did run by that DE. He held the DE by the neck area in the front on the jersey but I don't know if that impeded the DE from tackling Walker.
They weren't calling much of holding the whole game, so why then?
It had a HUGE implication to the game's outcome on over/under and all of the parlays that had the over, and I'm sure a LOT of folks lost because of that penalty call.

Ok, I found it where you can see some of it.
It's at the 2:10 game time mark.

It looks like he held it on the outside part of the shoulder pad, but I don't think that made any difference for that DE to pull away and tackle Walker.
Walker was so fast, he basically flew by him already anyway.

Im not a conspiracy theorist w/ NFL rigging, but it is odd they werent calling anything all game, and they decided to throw one there.
At the same time, I just dont how the NFL stands to benefit by helping out Vegas books. The NFL has everything to lose, and little to benefit by involving themselves in betting scandals.

My friends,as we all know, holding could basically be called on almost every play,if so desired. Moreover, if one doesn't think there exists some sort of link, relationship between the League and the books, one, imo,is quite naive. When there is that much money wagered, with concomitant liabilities in various regards,to think there would be no malfeasance as such is naive also. That was my immediate reaction when Collingsworth said there was a flag. Looks like life is gonna be really good for Walker. Kudos for him...and the Hawks.

@DJK
Yep. Given all the reasons you mentioned very odd for them to call it there. But, the moment you realize there are other implications involved in that specific play things become a bit clearer....
- Vegas already has a gob of white on its chin from losing the side wagers by Joe Public
- Joe Public being Joe Public is on the OVER. (This specific play would have changed the outcome).
- Prop Bet...Anytime TD (He was the highest wagered player for prop bets apparently).
I had a $100 15TM parlay that included morning NBA slate w/props and the Superbowl with under, side and props. 14/15 in and the last was his anytime TD for $6k. For a millisecond it hit before he said "Oh but wait there's a flag on the field".

I knew shady stuff was going to happen in the 4th quarter (to get close to or blow over the 45.5) as in all of a sudden both teams offences come alive after 3 quarters of boring kicks.
Luckily it was a hold (by rule book standards) and the Under cashed for us Under bettors. No one can argue it was not a hold.
The previous 3 SB’s were Overs so an Under was due to occur anyway.
