2nd and 8. Didn't have to launch it that far, specially when the receiver had double coverage. His magic got the best of him. Anything but that would have been less risky.

No doubt...he wanted to go short to Burden, but he was held. Probably best throwing it away and live for 3rd down. Even if you punt, you pin L.A. back.

Greedy? Not sure if that is the correct word or term. Young and inexperience might be a better word, he just keep playing football, the same brand of football he was playing all year, except in a playoff game maybe he should have switched up. This will be an excellent learning curve for him. I am excited for the Chicago, Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams year 2 will be fun to watch!

I think bears regress next year. They played out of their minds to finish off this season with all these miraculous comebacks. I just wish I jumped on the train to make money off their magic while it lasted

Greedy yes. Every dropback he looked dead right. There was a rb or wr to the left wide open at times for 10-15 open yds. He didn't even look. Easy short passes in middle he shuddered, or delayed pass by 1-4 sec before release. Gotta be more confident, quicker with decisions. Take short easy passes over home runs.

Wait to see if they get any additions on defense. Even though they played lights out vs the Rams, this was a horrible defense for most of the year. Particularly on the d line.
The offense could regress I suppose. Especially if the o line gets injured. That unit has been solid and healthy ALL year.
I just can't see that defense regressing worse than it is. There's too many areas to address, and the Bears should do so.

@miact
He is better than good. He is a great athlete with a great coach. Receiver quit on the play, but still a throw that shouldn't have been made.
Coach should have just kept it simple and got in field goal range for the kick.
They will be back.

@WilliamMunny
All they had to do was dink and dunk it to move the chains a couple times, maybe even aim for like a 4th & 1 so you can decide if you wanna risk going for it or not.
A simple FG was their ticket to the next round.

Most definitely and I wouldn't even call that regression. A team just can't count on 7 comebacks (4Q and OT) in regular season alone every year.

Most definitely correct.
But it begs the question, what if the Bears get a lot better than they were this year? Then they won't have to rely on comebacks to win.

Who??
Oh....Caleb, got it now
Maybe if that bum DJ didn't give up on that play and kept running his route that pass wouldn't have been "greedy".

The Bears have a really good Coach and a ton of talent, WRs of Odunze and Luther Burden, terrific and should get better, DJ Moore reminds me of AJ Brown, maybe its the Initials in the first name but both prima donna head cases, RBs, Swift and Monagai are above average and should get better, the offensive line is solid also, yes, the defense needs work.......... the future looks good for the Bears but I see a dog fight in the NFC North next Season, the turnover margin the Bears enjoyed is unsustainable imo.
Detroit losing two Coordinators really showed, they will be searching for a new offensive coordinator after this season if they havent replaced him already. Minnesota must be kicking themselves for walking away from Darnold who is playing in the NFC Championship Sunday..... Green Bay, should be a contender if they can stay healthy.
Honestly, chicago was the benificiary of quite a bit of luck and a Schedule reflective of a 5-12 team, their schedule will be much tougher this season, this year will be the test, expectations wil be high, do they sustain it and get better or regress like Detroit did, remember, the Lions looked like they would dominate the division for a few years but success brings new challenges, Lions still have a ton of talent as well but they show the You Rah Rah only gets you so far, you need XXs and OOs guys to run it aka Coordinators....... Should be interesting........![]()

It was a stupid decision that cost his team the game - He did make the amazing throw that gave them a chance. He can call Russell Wilson and take about horrible decisions throwing the ball .

@kcblitzkrieg
He pulled up because the defender was in his way and well positioned for the interception. The play was doomed and should have been aborted. I'll adviced to make that long a throw. He could have run and gained a few yards.

It is what it is. They played football. Most fun season to watch as a bear fan in a long time. Could have been smarter on the last drive but that’s what got them there. Emptying the tank! Hopefully they learn from these situations. I sure as hell don’t want them to be as conservative as lafleur has been with the pack last few years. This team was the most exciting team in the nfl this year. Keep doing what you do! Can’t wait to see what we got next year!
