They lost a lot of views n rating n I don’t blame the people not watching much anymore. I rather go fishing better n bet only certain game once in while.

-NFL wanting to make it 'safer' so younger generations keep playing...
Guys, football is not for everyone to play professionally. Football was about being a young man and learning teamwork, identity, going through things you don't wanna do (think about your first Okie-drill lined up against the older kid, or 5am sprints.)
IF someone is blessed enough to play in the NFL, then they go in at their own risks... just as someone who joins the military goes in knowing the risks.
All these changes to make it safer... get outta here with that crap. It's not meant to be safe... it's VERY dangerous and that's why people love it. And we'd all be in the league if we had the chance... even with a *small* chance of getting your neck broken or having a Johnson and Johnson attack on the field.
I can honestly see this sport being transitioned into flag-football in 20-30 years, and I'm not just saying that.

They phucked up the game with all the rule changes - They killed the whole spirit of Football when they made it a QB/WR game. The game of football should be alll about who wins the battle at the Line of Scrimmage
Pretty much this - they changed all the rules to promote more offense and higher scoring games cause "people like to see shootouts" and don't understand and put value on seeing good defensive schemes.
The rules also make it difficult to play any defense without drawing tons of penalties/flags for doing simple things like sacking the QB or hitting him to make sure he runs out of bounds instead of letting him dance up the sideline for 3-5 more yards and drawing a penalty for a late hit when they refuse to run out of bounds.
You can already see some of the responses in this thread about "boring TNF/SNF/MNF games" cause they're lower scoring - championships used to be won through defense - now it's won by who can score more while controlling the clock and time of possession. Ravens defense won them a SuperBowl but Joe Flacco got all the credit (and money). Denver Broncos defense won them the SuperBowl but Peyton Manning got all the credit even though he was literally a game manager and you could tell he didn't wanna be getting rushed/hit anymore and couldn't get off the field fast enough to go retire.
It's boring to me when I see tons of throws where defense/corners/safeties suck and just leave people wide open all the time and can't even stay on their guy in man-to-man. Watching a bunch zone defense is also boring to me.
Like sorry, but Travis Kelce is slow as hell - how is he always wide open? I swear it's like scripted to make him into a superstar and they're told to just leave him open in the flat half the time - you're telling me you can't just scheme someone to be glued to his ass at all times when he's Mahomes' go to guy? Even if he's "bigger/stronger" make him fight you for the ball.
