Wildcard round 4-0
This is the Only game I like in this round as the Bills matchup with Denver I see as a toss-up and as much as I like Seattle here against the 49ers, I'm not giving up that many points to Frisco, whom I've seen at times play extremely well this year... so I'll pass.
Chicago is my team so I will not be stressed with action and just want to be stress free and enjoy the game with my kid dressed head to toe in my Bears attire and support my team whom I believe will surprise yet once again.... Go Bears!
My Play this Divisional round and my Analyzed assessment:
Pittsburgh clearly was able to limit Stroud and the offense for most of the game and abuse the Texans O-Line. Patriots' defense just had an outstanding showing against the Chargers and while I believe the Patriots don't have the front seven the Steelers have, they do have a better secondary I believe and New England's front seven isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, thanks in no small part to Milton Williams.
Assuming either Gonzo and Nico Collins are either both playing or both out (Collins currently out from what I'm seeing), I like the way the Patriots match up against the Texans offense, and I think the pats will bottle them up relatively well.
While I do think the Chargers offense was overall better than the Texans, replicating that performance is going to be very difficult, and the Texans defense is likely better than the Chargers, the Pats offense will need to step up in which I do believe they will. Hopefully Maye has gotten out the playoff jitters a little bit and will start out hot like how he finished the game against the Chargers in last week's wild card game.
Maye is good enough that even against the best defense in the league, when he's on his game, I don't think there is any way to stop him, at best maybe you can slow him down. That is definitely what the Patriots will need come Sunday. Campbell and Moses are going to get tested with Hunter and Anderson Jr. and will need to hold strong more often than not for the offense to be successful, so that is a huge lynchpin area as well here no doubt.
Overall I like the Patriots chances here and I am excited for the matchup and what it could mean for the Patriots franchise if they win, but ultimately it will be tough against the Texans but I'm taking the better of the two quarterbacks here with the better overall quarterback rating with a defense that can be stout as well and that will be the difference maker here.
I'm laying the points here with the rookie and after seeing Stroud play last week and showing once again he can and will make mistakes.... I think he gets a lot of red, white and blue stomping in this game and that wicked defense of the Texans won't be enough in the end.... Patriots win and cover here
Patriots -3 (-120 bet rivers)
Good luck to all playing this weekend's Divisional round of games and especially those that justliketoplay ![]()
