This is my top play this weekend. After seeing the Steelers basically screen pass the Ravens to death on Sunday night I’m not too worried about the Steelers offense ruining this for me. Not to mention the lack of qb pressure that the Ravens cause. Should be a different story for Houston’s d line vs Pitts o line/aging qb.
Let’s be honest, Rodgers isn’t going to get himself killed trying to win this game. When the coverage is tight he’ll throw it away and I expect a ton of punts in this matchup.
Houstons offense is unimpressive to me. I have issues with Stroud. You can argue with me if you want, but he’s just average. And he’s the typical panic button qb. You see it in his play week after week at this point. When pressure gets anywhere near him he throws a pick, takes a sack, or throws it out of bounds. After some really risky passes that he’s thrown in the last few weeks I have to believe there’s an emphasis on him throwing the ball away. This will lead to more punts which I’m sure his coaches are fine with.
Both teams and coaches should be more than happy to punt the ball and play the field position game for 4 quarters. They also aren’t “go for 4th down” type teams. Both coaches are on the conservative side and will have no problem trotting their trusty kickers out there when given the opportunity. Tomlin may even be reconsidering his decision to go for the TD before halftime last week after seeing how the game played out. You’re not going for 1-2 yard tds and passing on chip shot field goals against the Texans.
Ultimately I just don’t see both teams getting to 20 points in the game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 13-10 or 17-14 final. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Anybody care to talk me out of it?

Let's see how Pitt move the balls against this stout Houston defense.
