I've been hearing this a lot in the forums and elsewhere. SOS is important to a degree, although more in team vs team than 1 player vs teams imo.

You have to remember that this is the pros. It's the best of the best and there are only 32 teams. There's a reason why almost all spreads are less than 10 points, and most less than 7 in the nfl, unlike college ball.

For me the eye test is #1, if you really know what you are watching. That and his #'s on paper look great for a 2nd year guy. His process, foot work, and ability to stand in the pocket while completing passes is better than half the guys in the league(young or old).

And he is not limited to just the pocket, he moves well, escapes and runs when he has to. Perhaps I would like to see him run to the left more often, as most of his on the run throws are to the right. Defensive coordinators will adjust to that sooner than later.

We'll see how it shapes up down the road. But as of now, you can't take Jayden Daniels rookie year away from him, it was great. Caleb has the most question marks imo, and he was drafted #1 overall.

In years past I've mentioned how often the #1 overall QB has been a bust in the nfl. And this is over many years. Perhaps it's scouts and pundits like Mel Kiper getting on the band wagon to hard on one guy and everyone jumps on?

I mean they start talking about draft rankings way too early if you ask me, and they speak of it as if it's gospel. 

There are always dudes who surprise that are drafted much lower. But that discussion doesn't need to be re hashed.

Caleb is showing great progress under Ben's system...

Daniels has had to deal with injuries on the roster...

Maye has shown great qualities, AS these are ALL young QB's thrown into the mix...the blender will chop it up and let the cream rise!!
