Atl has nothing to play for?
The Falcons’ Path to the Playoffs
Based on the scenarios outlined in the sources, Atlanta’s route generally requires two things:
Every source agrees: the Falcons must win their remaining games.
They face the Rams next, a team averaging 30.5 points per game.
They’ve dropped six of their last seven, so this is a tall order.
The NFC South is weak, which is the only reason Atlanta still has a pulse.
To win the division, they need:
Tampa Bay and Carolina to lose key games. USA Today describes a scenario where the Falcons can still disrupt the Bucs and Panthers and sneak into the division race if certain Week 17 and Week 18 results fall their way.
Tiebreakers to fall correctly. Because Atlanta has been swept by Carolina, they need Carolina to lose out or finish in a multi-team tie where common-games tiebreakers favor Atlanta.
ESPN and SI note that the wild-card route is nearly impossible because:
The NFC wild-card race is crowded with teams already above .500.
Atlanta would need multiple teams (e.g., Rams, Seahawks, Vikings, Packers) to collapse simultaneously.

Win out, Rams can clinch #5 seed and play against NFC South in the Wildcard Round.
In other scenarios, if Rams settle in #6 seed, they are likely to play at Chicago or Philadelphia in the Wildcard playoffs.
Per USA Today.

I just checked wagertalk.com, and it looks like a lot of money has come in on ATL today (since early this AM)... dropped from 86% to 60% of the money. Ticket % dropped from 79% to 72%. That tells me money is coming in on the falcons. Why is that?
Anyway, I think that's good news... as long as the line stays where it's at. I bought 1/2 point on the Rams, at -6.5 -130.

If the RAMS win the last two games, they will face the winner of the BUCS/PANTHER in W18 regardless of the outcome of the SF/SEA game

Atlanta is out. What are you talking about?

I think the guy got confused a tad on the Atlanta thing is all.
If Atlanta wins out and they all three end up in a tie at the end -- Carolina would win it even if they lost to Tampa.
