As I have admitted on many occasions, I am not a fundamental handicapper. I don't really understand football, I don't watch much, and I don't feel qualified to coach a team of third-graders. Feel free to disagree with me respectfully.
I did not check to see how many sacks were responsibilities of backups, but according to NFL.com, both HOU and PIT suffered 31 offensive sacks this season. However HOU had 249 OFF sack yards while PIT had only 192. My hypothesis is that C.J. Stroud might be overconfident in his elusiveness and just digs deeper holes.
What say you?

Many reptiles spend hours or days stationary in a "thermodynamically efficient" state, often basking in the sun to maintain warmth while waiting for prey to cross their path.
Aaron Rodgers is a lizard.
CJ Stroud is full of piss and vinegar?

Mobile quarterbacks are great their first 3-5 years (like Lamar Jackson). After that, they're often shot. The guys that go to the Hall of Fame and last 15 years essentially statues (Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Montana, Brees).. But you need a great O-line and all of those had them. Every longterm great QB had years of great protection

This game will not come down to the QB, If it did, I’d take Rodger’s over Stroud in this came. I’m in no way impressed with the Texans offense, therefore, If the Steelers can protect Rodger’s, they win. if they can’t he may be put into disability retirement.

Herbert kind of fits that mold, but O-line is decimated this year

Montana and Brees weren't statues. They moved around quite a bit. Their movement was within the pocket. They were shorter QB's.

If Pitt is not able to pressure Stroud he and the defense will control the game but if they do Pitt will hang with them.
