What I was most puzzled by was the intensity and focus of the Chiefs yesterday. The fire was simply not there. The focus was not there either. Kelce and Hill dropping passes in the SB? I didn’t see a championship team with a winning game plan and the spirit to compete at a high level yesterday.
Now i understand the tragic accident with Reid’s son but that happened a day before the SB. What was Reid doing with this team for 2 weeks to prepare for the Bucs? His 2 week preparation is on record and he’s nearly unbeatable.
I didn’t see a joyful team ready to compete and play disciplined football. I don’t believe the BUCS are 31-9 better than KC.

I think Chiefs not being able to arrive in Tampa early to acclimate themselves with the warmer weather and recover from the fatigue from traveling contributed to their disadvantage when playing against a home team.

Cause they were told they were not winning the game. So they weren’t happy. NFL and Vegas counted the money and too lopsided on KC. Had flip the script. Mahomes wasn’t happy though I saw him smile once. He knew they were paid to lose the game.

don juan had the insight into it...one i heard from no one else. he said it, everyone saw it.
yes andy reid has 2 weeks to prepare.
BUT the BUCS also had 2 weeks to prepare, and after their bye week they were better than ever. they switched gears. AND they are at home-no distractions, no travel, locker rooms, everything, for the Super Bowl. they were rested, they were focused, they were not tight (other than Brady at the start), and the chiefs did not have that benefit of being at home.

And they had the refs in their pockets. That’s quite the trifecta!

@begginerboy do you honestly believe you lost your chiefs wager because of the referees.
No. I believe I lost because I was foolish and went against my better judgment thinking the NFL was going to let these teams play, without favoritism, even though:
1) Reid’s son brought the plague down on his team by his actions. (Not only would this affect the team adversely, taking the joy and passion out of their game, but now the NFL had zero incentive in having the Chiefs win).
2) Cheffers had proven himself all year to not only be a home dog referee, but he had also penalized the Chiefs for more yards (almost 200 in total), in two regular season games, than any other official (both those games were on the road) and also had a bad history with the Chiefs but a good one with Brady.
3) I had posted an article from Vegas insider earlier last week showing how Brady and his team had gotten the benefit of the officiating in almost every SB he played in.

Now what do you think was the effect of reversing that great interception by the Chiefs with a bogus holding? Btw, There was no hold. Just some shoving by both players. And not only that, but the shoving had nothing to do with the interception Brady threw, which was off a tipped ball. So, this is why reversing that turnover was huge:
“The average chances of a win tend to drop drastically with each turnover, steadily falling from about 16-22% with each one. When not turning the ball over a single time, teams went 102-37, a percentage that would equate to about a 12-win regular season. When turning the ball over 4 times or more, teams combined to go 0-28; over the past three seasons combined, teams with 4 turnovers or more are 6-90 (.063).”
That was just one of 2-3 potentially game altering, questionable calls, all against the Chiefs. Coincidence? Only if you have your head up your anus.

Patrick Mahomes: "they were just better than us today. i don't know what else to say. they executed at a higher level defensively. they had a good game plan. we weren't able to make adjustments and find ways to get into the end zone".
if only mahomes was betting on the chiefs, he could see it was fixed the whole time by the referees.

losing by 22, that means they have to score 3 extra touchdowns and an extra point and tb miraculously doesn't score knowing the game is close like espn says, come on man.
That’s not how you judge the effect of calls/officiating. At some point things snowball. By my count, even including Reid’s gaff of calling time outs, the refs turned two potential Tampa FGs into two touchdowns. That’s 14 points instead of 6. Imagine a halftime score of 13-6 vs 21-6. Think of the psychological difference for both teams, and how they approach the second half. Instead of a tight one score game we move into potential blowout territory with a single mistake by KC. KC came out of the half and got 3. Instead of the score being 13-9 it was 21-9. If you can’t see the difference between those two scenarios I can’t help you. 13-9 and 21-9 are completely different games, mentally and emotionally, for the teams involved. The Buccaneers can’t play loose and relaxed with a 13-9 lead and the Chiefs are going to feel like they are right in this thing. Totally different mindsets. Those calls in the first half prevented the game from being close.

why are you cherry picking and quoting Mahomes when several KC players called out the refs?! Give me a break. He just wants to take the high road. Good for him. The NFL is paying him to be a good boy. I don’t have to. I call it as I see it.

0 adjustments all game. no running the ball. no short passing. no quick screens. nothing. I have never seen Reid coach that bad of a ball game. It was crazy.
