Going for it on 4th down cost broncos the game, did the computer take into account momentum shift,weather,backup QB or playoff game? No they just got for it!
Same thing with Rams at end of game kick the FG you down by one with 8 minutes left and 3 time outs, nope they form for it and worst outcome was they got it and then went for it again! Glad to see both these teams lose today
Broncos was 4th and 1 so there's a higher percentage to go for it with so many different play options.
Rams going for it on 4th and 4 was so stupid that you question why that decision was made. And of course that decision determined whether the Rams or Seahawks covered the 2h and full game

So many other variables must be taken into consideration. The most important of which is the fact that these games (Conference Championship) were a finite event for your entire season, not just the game, but the season.
These coaches will soon revert to correct in game decisions, and realize that “three phases of the game” is more than just a catch phrase.
There’s no shame in kicking FG’s and playing good defense to press your advantage.
Going for broke will result in just that. Just ask Dan Campbell.

Yes but 4th and 1, you can QB sneak, run the ball or pass. 4th and 4 your option is pretty much a pass play. That's why the Seahawks only rushed 3 and dropped back 8 in coverage
He was one game/decision away from the Super Bowl with his starting QB getting injured and keeping it close with a backup.
I’m not a fan of Sean Payton either but he’s definitely not getting fired for at least another couple seasons.
