since you are all about "what ifs" and close calls... i'm sure you will be the first to admit that Orlando very easily could have not made the finals at all...
IF Rashard Lewis didn't hit an amazing 3-pointer to win game 1... they do not carry forward their momentum, and they do not kill the momentum Cleveland carried into that series... and without a doubt, Cleveland wins the series...
so just as you say Orlando was CLOSE to being in the same league as LA... they were equally CLOSE to being in the same league as Denver...
and let's not forget about the blown game 6 performance by Boston that, had they not shot about as badly as a Boston team will ever shoot, would have eliminated Orlando in the 2nd round...
so while Orlando may have been CLOSE to LA... they were also CLOSE to the likes of Houston, Boston, Atlanta and Dallas...
but sure... they were CLOSE...

Hmmm, thats a good question. I wont say ever since the way basketball is played now is completely different than how it was played 25+ years ago. This team wouldnt beat the Spurs teams or the Pistons teams during the past 10 years. COuld they beat the Heat team? That would have been a good series.

It's amazing that after all of your "homerific" stupidity and ridiculous statements that you even have the nerve to call me a "homer". I've already convered this with you...the difference between me and you is that I can be a "fan" and be "objective" at the same time...you on the other hand do not possess this same ability as I do, you are a straight up "homer" and you've proved this time and time again.
My earlier post that you were commenting on was quite simple... The basic point I was trying to make is that people should give the Lakers some damn credit for doing what they did instead of trying to say it was because the Magic sucked. Give 'em some fuckin' credit! End of story...

No team that wins in 5 can be the "weakest" champion. That's ludicrous.
Weakest champion? Easy. 08 Boston Celtics. Stretched to 7 games vs a sub .500 Atlanta team. Stretched again to 7 games vs LeBron and "11 other guys who can't start for any other team." Beat a Detroit team whose best player (Billups) got severely injured during the prior series. And then beat the Lakers in 6 w/o Bynum or Ariza.

unreal! no matter what you ever say again i would never take shit you say seriously... anyone who thinks the 08 Celtics are even in the discussion among weak championship teams is completely clueless!
as i said before, and Rod just reiterated... the weakest team to lose (at least in the last 20 years) is the 06-07 Cavs...
