1. Jazz-Grizzlies: Utah has the bigs to hold their own against Memphis. Kanter and Favors should see some more minutes tonight and Jefferson and Millsap matchup very well with Gasol and Z-Bo. The only question is whether Marvin Williams can stay with Gasol and force him to work defensively. I think he can.
I also like the Jazz depth in the backcourt. Mo Williams has been on fire and Hayward is a bad matchup for an undersized Allen. Foye and Tinsley are superb backups with experience.
I like the veteran makeup of this squad and think 5 points is too many to be getting, even though it's Memphis' home opener and the crowd will be jacked.
2. Pacers-Spurs: Indy is a veteran squad who also play good team defense. Hill has the size and quickness to stay with Parker and they certainly have the team speed to stay with Green and Leonard. Really like the way Paul George is playing. Ginobili could be a game changer, but I think Popovich keeps his minutes to no more than 20 tonight. Having no Granger hurts, but the Pacers are rebounding fiends who can keep this game within 8.
3. Warriors-Kings: Kings have started on the road for their first 3 games. Kept it close in Chicago(lost by 6) and took Indy to OT. Not shabby. I like them finally coming home and getting the win in their home opener. Oh, by the way, they are 14-1 SU(all wins by 3 or more) in their last 15 home openers. Good stat.
4. Cavs-Clips: Kyrie Irving("Uncle Drew") will keep this game close. Hollywood showcase for him. He relishes these matchups and will go toe to toe with Paul. I think there is enough talent on Cleveland to keep this within 10. The Cavs were 4-5 SU, on the road, against the West last year. Only 2 of those losses were by 10 or more.
Also doing a crazy parlay for 50-1 odds:
Jazz+5, Pacers +8, Kings -2, Cavs +10.5, Philadelphia Eagles ML(+125), Eagles/Saints over 51.5.
