I guess there are concerts and other events to schedule around but if Denver and Miami take care of business it will be a obscenely long layoff. I don't watch 95% of the games but usually will tune into the first couple games of the finals. The teams were so flawed and week this season I had zero desire to even view 5% of the playoffs. The Sixers stunk but had a punchers chance to make the NBA Finals but in clear Philly fashion blew a series that was gift wrapped vs a heartless Beantown outfit. Denver with their proper attitude and team concept are a team to root for in 23'.

Nuggets are my pick though in terms of attitude the Heat have that in spades, too.
I just don't think they'll have the same road success in Denver as they did in the other series. Denver is what, 2nd best home record? Have they lost any home playoff games at all? I don't think they have.
Jimmy Butler is playing phenomenal but he isn't quite MJ and that's who you would need to beat the Nuggets the way they're playing. They score way too many points. Miami didn't start scoring a lot until the playoffs.
In the reg season, Miami was the lowest scoring team in the entire NBA.
So, with that long layoff, be interesting to see if they can continue to score so highly or do they revert back to being low scoring. Denver looks like a well oiled machine at this point I am not getting in their way if they sweep the Lakers after winning a western conference with Memphis, Phoenix, Sacramento all being very good teams all season they still finished in front of them all and then Golden St and the Lakers sure they didn't do great in reg season but are obviously big dangers in the playoffs.
The quality and class Nuggets have shown all year, I'm not taking a team from the play in games over them. Even if they aren't your typical 8th seed.

You have some great points, but the Heat lowest score during regular season stat is no longer status quo. The Heat has hit overs in the playoffs at a good rate including last night. The pace is different as in years past they would milk the clock in a half court game. SPO has made a good adjustment utilizing the offensive skills of his roster by pushing the ball and using Butler to create offense.
Denver has not seen a better defensive team as they will in the finals, neither has the Heat. Can the Joker maintain his stats with Adabayo defending? Can JMurray continue his 3pt dominance against better defenders at the 3pt line? Will Butler be effective against a better defending PF? Lots of questions and games have been decided by a possession or two in the regular season.
Denver has the home field advantage, the altitude, the fans, etc. Does that bother the Heat and their psyche to finish what they came out to do?
Lots of questions that will be answered in the first game which I project Denver will be -4/5 spread first game.

That layoff alone makes me think neither series will be sweeps, you can bet both lakers and celtics will live at the foul line very few if any thought miami and denver would be up 3-0 at this point. Most on this site have buried both teams so now would be the time for things to turn the other way when most think celtics have quit and lakers are overmatched.

Yikes. I can see why common bettors are losing their a$$ during the conference Finals. This weekend, so many in this forum were claiming no way the NBA will allow the Lakers and Celtics to go down 3-0. Yet, people are still posting this kind of thinking. Very odd to ignore what you are seeing in the games on the court based on the Finals schedule.
