Thursday, May 1st....
Alright gentleman, tonight we should have two very good games. Both feel like a toss up and should be excellent contests as have been a lot of these playoff games. We have to first look at the Knicks going to Detroit to face the Pistons. To me, this series has seven games written all over it. Why? Because the last three games have all been decided by 1-3 points. These teams are so evenly matched. It seems like there is a 50/50 split on this game, but a lot of the cappers on this forum seem to favor Detroit. I tend to lean in the same direction.
Game #3: 118-116 Knicks
Game #4: 94-93 Knicks
Game #5: 106-103 Detroit
The Knicks looked old last game. Towns disappeared and Brunson had a banged up ankle. Mikal Bridges hasn't been playing particularly well (I look for him to bounce back) and would check his points props. That being said, I think the atmosphere in the palace will be too much for NY. I see Detroit being the more physical and scrappy team. Brunson will not be able to stop Cunningham and Thompson and Durren will clean up the glass. I thought this series and the Denver series would go to 7 games and I am sticking with that prediction even though the Pistons did not get the no call on the last second Hardaway three when he was fouled. I have the Clippers at 9/1 for 3 units and I am hoping the Clippers win but don't cover (will try to middle the game) to force a game 7. Schroeder will be a pest on Brunson, Malik Beasley will go off the bench, and Cunningham and Harris will do just enough to help propel the Pistons past the Knicks in a tight game.
Detroit Pistons ML (-120)
