sigh, after losing a grip on backing pathetic OKC last night I must lay it out on this bet, I fully expect to lose on late game shenanigans

I'm so fucked. I have lost all confidence in my prognostication skills and want to buy out of my under but the total has risen 1.5pts so I could get hosed both ways if it lands on 211. I want to capitulate. What to do what to do?

Five days ago, it was (Posted: "I don't have bad ideas. I put my pants on 1 leg at a time like you, then I place winning bets."
My, have the tides turned. Going forward, you could try money management. Just like you put your pants on 1 leg at a time, bankrolls are built 1 unit at a time.

As far as the present goes, if you really believe in the Knicks, you could buy the over down to 210 and parlay it with your Knicks. Depending on your book's point buying prices, at worst you'd have to play it for 45% of the risk amount on your under, for a full buyout. If the over hits but the Knicks lose, at least you went down with your conviction. If the under hits regardless of what the Knicks do, you'd actually pick up at least 50% of what you would have won there anyway.

Over 210.5 is no good. If it falls 210, he'd lose what he'd lose originally anyway. The danger of waiting for a 210 or 209.5, is if the over goes wire to wire, not a favorite but certainly possible, you'll never see that number in the live betting.

And then, of course, you could just buy the over down to 210, risking a little more to win a little less than with the under, and eat 24 cents or so juice either way, less if your book has favorable point buying prices on totals.
Under 210: 110 to win 100
Over 210 @ -145: 124.7 to win 86
The important thing is to be honest with yourself.

What I wrote was, IF the over goes wire to wire, ... you'll never see that number in the live betting. Reread it if you have to. Are you going to sell him insurance that the over doesn.t go wire to wire?

Did you ever hear of a horse going wire to wire? That's what I meant here. Fast start, and the live number stays over the original number from start to finish. The guy's tryng to protect his ass. The possibility, it's something he should consider
